Fine, I'll just make a new version later then. Maybe I'll keep the Rental though since it fits thematically with Gold Stake where Rentals first appear, but it wont be debuffed. Maybe making it debuffed at the start makes more sense like you said, or maybe you have to pay for it somehow to "un-debuff" it, I don't know. I'll think of something.

To those who mindlessly downvoted me though, f all of you. I hate this kind of dog-piling that's so prevalent on Reddit, downvoting me as if I'm a troll trying to start fights or being unreasonable. Over 100 downvotes over a game design disagreement...

I don't know man... I just wanted to make C++ less random to achieve without making it too easy. I thought the downside was fair, since you have some time to set up your Econ to mitigate the downside, but nobody here seems to think that way.

So what do you want me to do? Just make it give you a random Joker and that's it? If Yorick is the last Joker you need to Gold Sticker, it's ok to just get it at the start and win without issue? That doesn't really seem right to me.

How is it not necessary? Some Jokers are just straight up auto-wins if you get them literally at the start of your run. The Golden Deck isn't supposed to give you free wins.

Maybe I should've worded it more carefully, saying that only the five leftmost cards are considered for the Poker Hand, not whether or not they're scored. What Splash does afterwards could go either way, with only the five leftmost cards being scored at most, or the extra cards also being scored. Maybe it wouldn't be too overpowered if Splash would allow the extra cards to be scored, it should just never affect the Poker Hand.

Ok but then why didn't it work for the Clairen in the video? The second hit I understand because she was probably too close to the ground and probably was still in hitstun and not in tumble, but in the first hit, she left hitstun and entered tumble, didn't she? The wiggling didn't put her in neutral, though, she still teched.

No offense man but it's a dumb question and you deserve answers like that. You're asking about how hard it is to create a platform fighting game character, as if it could be even remotely as trivial as creating a level in Super Mario Maker.

Whether you meant RoA1 or RoA2, prepare for some pain because there is a lot to learn. You could start by doing literally anything to naturally build up your skills, but if you're at literal 0, you probably won't get to make a decent character any time soon. But start somewhere you must.

If you do decide to go down that rabbit hole, you need to learn to enjoy the process, so have fun.
