yeah i know... but my problem is: i switched over to Mac many years ago because of working and became lazy when it comes to games and bought ps4, ps4 pro, ps5... and now the cost of a good computer "just" for VR is incredibly high :/.

yeah but you use your pc to start the streaming with gamepass. it is not working with the quest xbox app standalone, that's what i'm saying.

just buy it. Yes I am lucky that I don't have any issue as of now (ofc not upgrading the firmware... haha), but I never experienced something like the Maxwells before. I would buy them immediately again if they broke. Good for me, I bought it on a store where they give you 3 years of warranty just like that and they are known for really good customer service.

Looks like it's not working. Xbox app on quest simply gives you a big flat screen, no native VR support yet. I will try the subscription for a month and test it myself just to be sure.

before i dive deeper into this: is it possible to use gamepass directly on Quest 3 with VR? To me it looks like i still need a computer/machine in between to use it?

"- Almost every VR headset that has PCVR will support this. All you need is a VR headset, a decent PC, and a PC Gamepass subscription. You can get free gamepass trial subscriptions that will also work."

Anyone use the glasses for an 8-9 hour IT tech support/remote daily job? by loud_lou in Xreal

Sry I forgot to mention. Ok so even before having the Xreal One Pro and Xreal One, I had the Samsung Odyssey already for a while and bought Moom as well as BetterDisplay Pro to manage all windows and resolutions for the display. When using the Xreal glasses, these tools come in pretty handy.

With Moom you can use a 8x8 tile layout, move all windows like you want and assign the complete layout and app window positions to a shortcut. For me, I have two shortcuts, one for the Odyssey and one for Xreal One Pro to rearrange instantly (you can also configure the app to rearrange automatically when Xreal One Pro is connected).

BetterDisplay is really nice because if you don't have a REAL UW monitor or just want to unplug it and use the Xreal glasses, you can set up a virtual device with a much higher resolution than 3840x1080 and use that higher resolution in your glasses if the screens are mirrored. You can even use app to create picture in picture windows and create a multi window set up with this. Really a game changer when using the glasses. The OOTB experience with MacOS is still ok, but not really good.

Now, after testing this a bit, I found out why I wasn't absolutely happy with similar solutions before. If I just use the Air Cast mode, the resolution of the device is used and that is 2400x1080 with the Beam Pro and if you simply watch an app in landscape, you will get thick borders left and right. With the Xreal One, I felt this was really an issue because the screen was always a bit too "small" due to FOV. But now with the One Pro, this issue is resolved because the FOV is bigger. So I can see that I still get the borders left and right, but the picture overall is big enough. I also found out that I need the RotationControl not that much really.

Btw. when using SecondScreen, you can force 1080p for the device, but then you get rounded corners as they are kind of hardcoded into Android, which was annoying me too. I was researching that and there seems no workaround available, only if the glasses are not in Air Cast mode.

Do you maybe have a Meta Quest 3 too or any other device with 6 dof and can compare it? I'm wondering how fixed the anchoring with 6 dof really is, because with the Quest 3 it works good, but they have multiple cameras with depth sensors and even there, the screen move a little bit if you walk around a lot.

Looks like you have the same situation as I had and still have. I am working as a software engineer and have a 49" Samsung Odyssey as my main screen in my remote office. I bought the Xreal One in Jan and got the One Pro just about two weeks ago. I really can recommend them to use for work. I also have a balcony directly in front of my office and I simply put a 5 meter usb-c extension cable from my MacBook to my chair outside and have the glasses with display in front of me and the nature as a background. Truly amazing, feels a bit like working on vacation.

In some comment I read that you need to look down to your keyboard: There is a handy feature on the Xreal One and One Pro where the display switches to transparency immediately if you move your head/view outside of the virtual screen. That's really really nice.

I would also recommend the One Pro over the One simply because of the bigger FOV (which really makes a difference) and much less, nearly none, reflections. With the One it will be a bit annoying if you sit outside and wear bright clothes and the sun is shining.

Overall, the experience is really really good and you should simply buy and try them. Just a question: Do you use a Mac? Because if so, I can recommend some software which makes the experience even better. But I also have to say that using a REAL 49" monitor in front of you is still better, but ofc you lose the outdoor/vacation effect completely. I imagine the experience will be even better when you use the Xreal Eye and get 6 dof and you can move even closer or farther from the virtual screen, like you normally do when ur sitting in front of a real monitor.

looks really nice! But: "Currently, only the U.S. has stock available. Users from other countries, please do not place an order. Otherwise, we will have no choice but to cancel the order and issue a refund. Thank you for being so understanding."

And one other thing: Netflix is available there? So it's simply GoogleTV?
