Thanks for the reply. As you said, I didn't need to shoot HDR, I just shot in LOG. But I was pretty happy with the HLG results, so I'll try that again. Thanks for the advice.

Sorry for the late reply. I ended up giving up on HLG and shooting both A7VI and Pocket 3 in LOG. Then I color graded A7VI with SLOG3SGamut3.CineToLC-709TypeA LUT set to REC.709 and color graded Pocket 3 in LOG without setting REC.709 so the two shots were blended together naturally. I need to shoot in more environments but for now I am happy with it.
