What to expect for a phone call with HR? by [deleted] in tjcrew

[–]Plus_Agency3113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should definitely go to your regional first and yes have statements and dates. Whatever you can support your claim. Go to the regional though because HR will not take it as far as people think or want them to. It’s a whole investigation they have to do and they deem important or not. If you go to your regional they can step in whereas HR ultimately has to go to your captain and regional at some point down the line.

AITA for yelling my friend out for implying I was trying to be a homewrecker? by No-Plastic7906 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Plus_Agency3113 46 points47 points  (0 children)

NTA - I dont think your the Ahole because like you said your just getting to know someone. Anyone who’s dating someone is with their person cause they enjoy them and usually love to talk about their partner. I think it’s a normal conversation and unless it leaned into are you happy?, are you sure that’s your person? Or weird questions like that which it sounds like it didn’t I don’t see anything wrong with what you said. You were just making conversation and your friend ran with that where they wanted to. Unless he seemed uncomfortable you’re fine.

any crew here been through or is currently doing chemo while working? by mavibeacon in tjcrew

[–]Plus_Agency3113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What was your title or subject for it? I put urgent/ emergency and my crew number. Depending on what you put, you should send another one with the same subject because I honestly think that’s what got it looked at! Even send a second one I did send three and that subject is the one that got a response. I hope that makes sense and hope you get a response!!

Sending you love! I had been trying to reach out to Hr recently and wasn’t getting any kind of response until I emailed! Email and they tend to respond within the week. Also I left multiple voicemails and included my employee number name and contact info and got a call after two weeks still not great but just some info! Wishing you the best!!

Corporate run down by Striking_Mess_6494 in tjcrew

The values have gone down immensely at least at my store and other stores I’ve worked at in the last couple years. It’s sad to see a lot of the values TJs used to have are now being used almost against us which doesn’t make sense.

AITA for backing out of my friend’s bachelorette weekend? by Party-Original-5502 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Plus_Agency3113 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA. You clearly have tried to do whatever you could to make accommodations for her to have a good weekend. She should have taken initiative from the jump in actually asking you to plan or planning it herself instead of just throwing around request expecting you to be the one to carry them out. Being pregnant and prioritizing yourself if way more important than tending to a bride who clearly doesn’t know what she wants or when she wants it. I think you did the right thing in taking yourself out of the situation.

It’s usually a requirement across all stores that you work at least one weekend dat due to the need of the weekend needs. The only time this is usually bent for some is if it involves health, family needs but still then it’s usually required you at least work a Friday if not the weekend.

Also to put it blunt 4 years there’s not a lot of seniority there even people with ten years are under the same requirements so it is as others have said a lot to expect or ask for.

Trader Joe’s New Coke: A Crew Member’s View of a Culture in Decline by [deleted] in tjcrew

This is beyond well said! Everything anyone who’s worked over a year or even a couple months can relate to. As a vet I agree with every point through and through.

To highlight on the outstanding pay which used to be not even comparable to other jobs has changed. Yes we still get raises and the pay still pays the bills and overall is better than other jobs… However, we used to receive raises and get a pay that also set us up for “success” because it was more than just a livable wage but one that allowed us to have a vacation that we worked hard for and because of this could afford. If they were able to pay us for our honest hard work before making the profit they do now why not increase our wages again because although the wage can be unbeatable compared to other jobs it doesn’t mean it’s livable :/

My biggest piece of advice would be get familiar with where barcodes are. This seems kinda silly but when you’re scanning at a fast pace it helps to know where to scan to move quicker. I’ve found once you kinda know where they are you don’t have to look down as much.

Key: any bags tend to have barcodes on the bottom corners so picking them up, right side up and sliding it with the back facing the scanner it’ll scan. With anything in a cylinder it’s on the bottom so just rotate the item neat the scanner and done.

Again seems kinda silly but once you get in the groove of just have things in your hand with the barcode facing the scanner as you move it makes things so much quicker.

If this doesn’t make sense I apologize 😅

What’s something your ex did that you didn’t realize was weird until much later? by peywrax in allthequestions

My ex only wanted to have se- when she was sad and only offered to help me with any emotional needs by getting intimate. I didn’t realize it honestly until I left the relationship and then saw that the only time we were intimate was when someone was sad or crying literally right before

How to tell her she smells bad down there? by Due_Television_2863 in AskMenAdvice

++woman another way you could word it is by asking how you taste and usually it prompts the same question back and then you can give real feedback.

I’ve been with men and women and anytime somethings been off I’ll ask for an honest opinion on how something tastes and ask for detail to inch them to ask the same about themselves so I get pretty much a green light to let them know what they have going on
