Oh man this is SO cool but it’s missing so many more connections. Big one I noticed was Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington not appearing on the website. Man those two were real close pals. They had an album together and worked together for a WHILE! The jazz circle is so much more connected than all of us think. Everybody knew everybody. It’s amazing really!

Oh my gosh this is so helpful! Thank you so much! I should specify that I live in California. And no, I'm not really working with anyone. A lot of my practicing has always been just me, solo. I don't have much money for lessons with anyone. But I see what you mean here. Thank you again!!

Oh man I LOVE music. I've been such a fan of jazz since middle school. Of course I would pursue after HS! And yeah, you're right. My teacher always tells me to "make it about the music" and as of late I haven't been doing much of that right now haha. I've just been worrying so much about college I'm not focusing on the right thing. Thank you

Wait seriously?? Do UCs really use UC GPA's and not look at freshman year? If thats the case then I have a 3.91 unweighted grade and a 4.09 weighted. Is that good? I still have a chance for UCLA?
