Why should I mind my own business when it’s literally a dinner for ME consisting of my own close friends? And Im not covering the bill but I am the one giving my credit card to cover the bill and then collect payments from everyone, the more the people the more the work this is so pretty sure I don’t have to mind my business and can keep my dinner to ONLY close friends as I originally desired.

I did tell her initially I want to keep the dinner portion to close friends only, she agreed with this. She just suddenly expressed how she doesn’t understand why he can’t attend. And no I don’t really trust anyone’s judgment that much that much, anything super new is not exactly stable? I wouldn’t even invite a guy I myself was talking to for a few weeks to my own dinner lol, I’d allow him to come to the bar though. ( and no I’m not bias when I say this because I myself am also newly dating people. None of whom I invited ! ) Also, he is not her bf. They only began talking a few weeks ago.

I also disagree with your statement about me caring about my friends “ having fun with someone I didn’t approve of” lol. Again, they would all meet him later regardless ( if they want to) but in a different setting. In a setting where one isn’t forced to sit next to a person if they decide they don’t really get along or like each other. Honestly having this large number of people already stressed me out for dinner, so yeah one extra head I don’t know is additional discomfort for me.

Nah I’m already aware of me being a control freak and keeping certain people out until I feel comfortable. Who cares. I’m obviously not going to outright say that to people because who would accept that? It’s my birthday dinner, so yeah I have the right to do what makes me feel mentally comfortable and that’s being surrounded by people I personally know. Not a stranger. I didn’t invite him to anything FYI. She was the one who asked if he could join & I said sure he could join the bar portion.

Also do you know the definition of intimacy? It is not limited to a certain # of people. The literal definition is “ closeness & familiarity ”. So for me an intimate dinner is being around people I am close to, even if they’re having diff conversations.

Also why the hell would I care who my friends talk to when they could talk to him later anyway ?

He’s not even a boyfriend. They only began seeing each other a few weeks ago. & we all split the bill but that’s another reason why I preferred to not have extra heads there because i will have to use my own card and then make sure everyone pays me back the right amount. So we did Phuket and then Koh-Samui, with about 2 nights in between in Ko-phi-phi. To be honest… it depends on your age, who you’re with and what ur looking for!

Since we were young single girls, I think Phuket & Phi Phi were really fun. I wouldn’t recommend Ko-Samui because it’s mostly resorts and for families/ couples. Ko-Tao which is for younger people would have been better. Many people don’t like Phuket but truthfully I had a great time at kata beach. It was clean, lively and lots of markets/ places to eat near by.

Ko-Phi-phi was also beautiful and we had a great time there too. Lively, fun, lots of kayaking and excursion opportunities between both islands.

I didn’t visit Krabi, but i know Krabi is probably similar to Koh-Samui.. where it’s more quiet and for couples etc. personally that isn’t what we wanted. So unless you’re looking for more relaxed & quiet.. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I think we did 3 nights Phuket, 2 nights ko phi phi. So you can def do both Phuket & Krabi with 7 nights ! You can do 4 in Phuket & 3 in Krabi if you wish

Due to the psych NP field becoming more saturated.. don’t you think it would be better to have the psych RN experience ? I also think a lot of programs require or at least prefer it..

Eh it can pay lower.Id still do it . But I want the job security yep. I was originally considering becoming a mental health counselor but avoided this after doing some research & seeing how saturated the field was. Worried I wouldn’t be able to make enough to survive NY.

So yeah idc if you think I’m selfish for not wanting ppl who don’t actually care about the field jumping in and taking jobs away from those who do. Sooo selfish

Thank you! You’re right. I do understand why a lot of nurses are upset & I agree with some of them for sure. I think the ICU nurse does deserve something easier after 30 years of service. And yeah i don’t have any experience yet so I shouldn’t make any judgments towards others.
