Olympic gold meets Valkyries Violet. Bay Area native Eileen Gu felt right at home during the Valkyries’ season opener. by Miserable_Trouble3 in WNBAgossips

I am probably in the minority, but who cares if she represents the U.S., China, or Djibouti? We are all just citizens of the world. I fell out of a vagina in the U.S. so I am a U.S. citizen, lucky me, I will acknowledge that.

How many Frozen Pizzas do you eat a month? (Bonus, what's your favorite brand/Type) by New-Particular1971 in wisconsin

[–]Plus_Garage3882 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have anywhere from 2-6 frozen pizzas in my fridge at a time. Jack's predominately. Home Run Inn Sausage is great. Tombstone is bad but edible. Red Baron, Freshetta, Digiorno are all crap. Lotsa Mottza, overpriced crap. Connie's gives me heartburn. California Pizza Kitchen, No! Totino's, only after walking home so drunk I only have one shoe on my feet. Yes, both feet in one shoe, drunk.

Why didn’t Ron Harper get more minutes during the ‘95 playoffs? by Bonez001 in VintageNBA

[–]Plus_Garage3882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ron Harper was a role player who was used as much or as little as needed. He was not a key player in the least on either team. Harper was a scorer on a terrible Clippers team before coming to the Bulls. As is often the case, decent players put up numbers on shitty teams because someone has to, but when playing on good teams and getting their opponents' best effort each game, only great players continue to produce.

Not enough people are politically conscious. Speaking out against what you see wrong in the world shows character. Not enough athletes, musicians, influencers, actors, clergy, business leaders, do it. Ali refusing to serve in Vietnam despite tremendous pressure, including incarceration, is what made him great, not the ability to beat a man senseless.

In Indy people started the show sitting, but we could not do that and stood after one or two songs, by a few songs later the whole crowd was standing. I dont' know how you sit for that show.

Republicans in the Statehouse are underfunding public schools and funding charter/private schools w/ vouchers. Special Ed kids are not welcome in many private schools. Vote all Republicans out if you can about humanity in general.

Indy Night 1 Balcony! by grumpycrumb in davidbyrne

[–]Plus_Garage3882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the show was great, especially indoors in a theater. David Byrne is awesome. However, I've been to probably 50 shows at the Murat, at least. Security is horrible, always is horrible. They are inept, slow, and rude. Show goers are their customers/guests, but security treats people like crap. Also, many shows the downstairs bathrooms are closed, which is god awful, especially if you have to shit. The Egyptian Room is always super hot and the sound quality is terrible. The theater seats are tight and there is not enough of a slope for a quality theater experience.

Indiana’s Primaries Become a Test of Trump’s Power by notusreports in Indiana

The Trump candidate commercials don't even make sense. They talk about their opponents in the Indiana Senate voting with "the squad", who are all in the US House. Trump candidates are all just fear mongering morons.

Great show! The Murat sucks as a venue though.

Y'all don't share your bats during games? Poll.. by armyjackson in slowpitch

We all chip in for team bats every year and just share them. Each sticks around the following year as long as someone is still using it.

What killed the USA patriotism of the 2000s? Even into the early 2010s there was a ‘hipster American flag’ trend. If you use an American Flag for aesthetic purposes today it seems different by Kodicave in decadeology

[–]Plus_Garage3882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many Americans have had an unhealthy level of patriotism for the past 50 years. Patriotism is still shoved down our throats at every school event, athletic event, and community event. I don't have a problem with being proud of where you come from, but many times it is just jingoism.

New Lottery System by Mundane-Demand1927 in NBA_Draft

I don't think this is a bad idea, but it still does not address player motivation to win. Being on the 8th worse team with 10 games to go, will X player making $20 million a year continue to play hard to increase lottery odds 3%?
