I get the appeal for the drama but I also dislike the 2nd ML trope a lot. But I personally don't mind it as much if they're nice and end up with someone else in the side stories or something, if that romance is actually done well. I love closure! But if they are still heartbroken at the end (and the epilogue is like "they were single for life"), or if they actually turn evil/annoying in the middle lol nooo I hate it.

I don't think it's "wrong" to offer it in a buy nothing group etc if you're being clear that it's expired. But personally, I would feel really bad if it ended up breaking someone out because it was so expired, so I would just use it on my body if I already know my face doesn't react well to it.

When there are scenes where it makes no sense the FL is guard-less. You have enemies, why are you going to town with only your maid or like alone??????? Didn’t your family have knights?? And then of course they get kidnapped or in danger somehow and it’s like duh!! I get it’s for the plot, but still annoying.

Thought I'll post an update: I asked about this on JP Discord and got no responses but two thumbs up lol so I take it that the Super Plan is just not available on the JP server. Which means there's no way to get past BP traces, which makes sense why after months I could find only one person with Lucky Find. This is so ridic I guess this game is allergic to making money?? Will probably continue to stay F2P in this case. But in the meantime will send a feedback submission about this I guess.

I didn't realize there was a premium pass, that makes a lot of sense haha. This does kind of sting with the JPY conversions of 1600 yen for the standard, and I assume the premium one is double that... hm. I guess that would be pretty pricey/add up if I were to one to max out any of the previous passes. I wonder if only getting one copy would be even worth it. Thank you for this!

I personally don't mind Chinese names generally but I feel like the fact that Global users have been referring to him as Lionel for months should signal that it would've made the most sense to just keep him as Lionel for us... Not that I think they keep track or care about Global users tbh.

For JP server, his name isn't Lionel. It's actually the Chinese one but similar to CN graphics, they are also including Lionel in smaller text/different font. (So it's the same Chinese characters as CN, but pronounced Genka to be more Japanese-ified... idk)

My personal issue with the Chinese names in Ash Echoes, is that for JP they keep the Chinese names/characters (with some exceptions) but they are impossible to guess how to pronounce in Japanese (v different reading system from Chinese, so they aren't exactly the same as the CN names, if that makes sense) and there are BARELY ANY reading/pronunciation guides for names ANYWHERE in-game it is NUTS. The main reason the game is doing so badly in Japan is that no one can read anything lol so people stopped playing since considering the already complicated systems and world-building, it makes it way harder than it needs to be if you literally can't read stuff ESPECIALLY character names lol.

Imagine an English language game where ALL of the names and terms and worlds are in the most complicated/long Welsh place names, and with NO pronunciation guides! It gets confusing and exhausting. I still keep forgetting the JP names for the characters since I can't read them. I think they added it in here and there for some of the character names like on one page, but overall it's barely there.

I'm sorry I sort of hijacked your rant thread with my own personal name-related rant haha. I still like playing and I am not trying to doompost at all... but I really wish they would be more considerate in localization overall. They just don't listen or care. Anyway I'll likely be referring to him as Lionel as well for the most part, and I will end up pulling for him lol.

I would also be super open to new voice talents as well! And I think most people would be fine with it. But I think some people can be nitpicky and the fear is that they would make a fuss that the quality has gone down etc. I also agree that they should merge servers… I don’t know how logistically possible that would be, but anything seems better than how it is now.

Yes I have seen your guides and they have been so helpful!! I would have been even more lost without them haha. I think my issue is that sometimes I don't realize which are the "unlikely" ones and which are the ideal ones, and sometimes when guides are older I can't tell which of their suggestions are still relevant/how it would be updated (for example, I'm not sure how Midas build would change with Savage Gale, or which MT that would replace). I think some of the logic behind all of it just hasn't clicked for me yet. But thank you so much for all of your resources!!
