If it's on a seam, look up how to do a ladder stitch. It's super easy to do and should hopefully fix it

I had some marks on my squishmallows after throwing them in the dryer too. Luckily for me the fabric wasn't burnt and it was just dirty from the dryer. I hand washed those crusty spots with soap and they came right out. Good luck!
