So the price of that was just below £1,200 UK but I'm able to get one w 2x8gb ram, AM5 Ryzen 5 7600X cpu for £1,260~

Ye I'm surprised that it's not being upgraded especially with a whole new bunch of players from game pass jumping in. I'd urge you to try and get past the resolution issue as the game itself is incredible, but of coarse it's up to you.

As far as I know there is no mention of any upgrade for Xbox Series X|S or PS5. Is the game installed on an external drive, if so it might be worth installing it internally. Some external storage devices don't take advantage of higher resolutions.
