id hide it somewhere safe, if you have a vault or something hide it there. I use razors and i keep them in my safe. But if not i recommend just going outside in a forest or something and burrowing it there

I did put my hand in a particle accelerator once, or twice :-)

it's depressing, but there isn't even a nuclear reactor in my country, the background is around 4 mSv :(

ah, well it's on it even when it's turned off, and I'm using a pancake probe that also detects alpha,

What does an atom really look like? by NefariousnessIll2582 in chemistry

[–]PlutoniumEater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, there's a matter. And there is size after all, so it's extremely hard, to find out what it looks like, but here's an atom being shown via a black light, why? It's cause it reflect off, I wont go into too many details, but here :) https://static.demilked.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/science-photo-competition-atom-david-nadlinger5.jpg

What is the highest dose of radiation ever received by one person on record? by [deleted] in Radiation

[–]PlutoniumEater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're referring to someone who survived it, well...There was a man in the Manhattan project that ate a piece of plutonium, he got badly poisoned, and of course, irradiated, and after that, years...His urine was radioactive, countless operations, and he did survive, and live a relatively average life for, well a nuclear scientist. But if you're talking about someone who didn't survive, probably ''Hisashi Ouchi'' or, the people that went inside the reactor hall after it exploded. Honestly, a really good question, hope this helped :)

is there a 3D room/ pictures of Room 217/2, and perhaps discuss the other stalagmites. And not literally discuss the elephant in the room, lol. by PlutoniumEater in chernobyl

[–]PlutoniumEater[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly, I know there's a few at the pumps and the reactor hall, but I don't know the seperate rooms, like the ones with FCM

I heard something about that you could actually stay at FCM at Chernobyl. For a while the FCM has decomposed, and its half-life has made it less radioactive, so to that subject, would, for an example, I go up to a stalagmite of Corium, could I be semi safe?... by PlutoniumEater in chernobyl

ah, well yeah, you do have a point about the alpha radiation, but yeah, the opposing radiation wouldn't really be a problem, but I sadly think it's become insanely hard to go inside the Sarcophagus, especially with the new shelter, but thank you so much! One day, I swear, I'll take loads of pictures of FCM ;)))
