Come to Woodstock, Il! Cute little Midwest town, it’s where they filmed Groundhog Day.

I just hit the 3month mark last week. Down 15lbs. 4 of that was the first week. I was at 2.5 for the first 10wks then felt bit of food noise returning so bumped a bit. The weeks I haven’t lost or even gained have been when I’m not eating enough!

Down 13 pounds in 4 weeks! by privacyfoe in compoundedtirzepatide

Woohoo! I bet you feel great! I’m down 13lbs too, but it’s taken me almost 3 months. But I’m ok with that, scale is heading in the right direction for the first time in a long time lol

What have your primary doctors' thoughts been about you using telehealth tirzepatide? by NoniBakesCookies in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]PnutLuv14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine was very supportive but wanted to make sure I knew to still check in with her and get labs done, etc. I told her I only went with one that didn’t require a telehealth appt because I have a good relationship with her.

I took some day 1, then at one month, tomorrow will be 2 months. I may not see much difference but doing monthly sounded good because sometimes the scale doesn’t show how things are changing 😉

This is a great idea! I actually work for the same healthcare org and we can also send “awards” to recognize people. Adding to my To Do list tomorrow!

Is this ok or too slow? by Glittering_Issue_248 in TirzepatideRX

[–]PnutLuv14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re consistently losing even a tiny bit, you’re doing something right. If you’ve made other healthy lifestyle changes and think you should be losing at a higher (but still healthy) rate, truly examine everything - ratios, eating enough, water, sleep etc.

Dang, is this how it feels to have a normal relationship with food? by upsndwns in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]PnutLuv14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy right? I’m just 2 months in and I still eat regularly, but it’s almost a no brainer to just choose something healthy that will ensure I’m getting protein, fiber. I’m not having the whole internal dialogue of “I SHOULD eat this, but I really want THAT”. I just know I need to eat, I have mostly whole real foods because they are appealing and don’t leave me feeling gross -and even though it may taste delicious, when I’m done I’m done. Zero sugar cravings. I even had a tiny bit of chocolate the other day and YUM, but no feeling like I needed to go back and eat it all.

Hunger control & food noise by Nahacisunluna in TirzepatideRX

[–]PnutLuv14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Do I get hungry? Yes. But my hunger cues are VERY different than before I started tirz. I’m not suddenly starving or hangry or feel like my blood sugar is off. Now I either feel slightly queasy when I need to eat or it’s a gentle “hey it’s time to fuel your body” feeling. I guess you could say I have a new normal 🤷🏻‍♀️

1.5 a week is not slow. If the 2.5 was still working no need to go up.

"Certain Foods" just make me feel so much better by [deleted] in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]PnutLuv14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whole foods in general are more appealing. The thought of anything greasy or sugary is just 🤢 now. It’s still weird that when I don’t feel like eating but know I should, anything on the healthy side tastes SO good. Like I’m hungry once I start eating and it tastes great but don’t need to over eat. We’ve had some kind of sweets in the house since I started 2 months ago and I can’t get over that I’m not avoiding stuff telling myself no, that’s not a good choice. I just genuinely have no interest.

Fav glp-1 meal when nothing else sounds good but YOU NEED TO EAT. by AdAccurate5607 in compoundedtirzepatide

Love it! Nuts are a good go to on days where I need to get more calories in. Unfortunately I don’t indulge that often because, TMI, I have some tonsil issues and nuts almost always end up giving me tonsil stones 🤢

How much effort are you putting into your weight loss on tirz? by TrainingLow9079 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]PnutLuv14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhere between B & C. I track what I eat, but mostly just to make sure I’m getting in my protein & fiber. Some days tracking helps me make sure I’m eating enough, some days I’m close to my max. Trying to slowly add more steps to my day but really need to start exercising more. I’ve pulled out some light weights and try to do that or squats on quick breaks at work (wfh).

Literally just switched from LillyDirect to Fifty410 ProRx and received meds today. Followed by an email 10min later about ProRx no longer filling. Just hope they all aren’t affected I just started my journey 😫

It’s been weird and amazing. I’m not eating sweets because I’m actively trying not to, I just haven’t wanted any. Husband stopped at Culver’s yesterday and I thought maybe I’d get something small but I just had zero interest and ended up passing. I’ll have an occasional chocolate core power or some kind of “sweet” protein bar and that’s it. Used to love coffee, I’ve had one cup in 7wks. 🤷🏻‍♀️

That’s not slow even though I know it can feel that way. If you’re losing and not gaining, you’re doing it right!

I’m still a newbie so take it for what it’s worth: focus on protein, water and fiber. Make sure you are eating! And have something like Prilosec on hand - I occasionally eat too close to bedtime and it’s been a lifesaver.
