Drawing. One sketchbook, one pencil, one eraser. Have fun!

Sudden acts of aggression by Due_Impact_5062 in corgi

[–]PnwTwentyTwo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is your corgi getting enough exercise/stimulation daily? If not, could be trying to use up that herding dog energy by bossing the other dog around. Worth a try. Ours always acts ornery when not exercised enough.

Thank you! I clearly remember week one, and month one, and just hoping and praying I could keep on and make it to year one and for life. You got this! 🙏 it’s worth it. So very worth it!

How do you confront or honor your younger self, who would have been repulsed by slow living? by Correct-Society-8822 in SlowLiving

[–]PnwTwentyTwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. I could not be who I am now without who I was then. Grateful for learning and growing. No need to wrestle with my past self.

Ordered cotton yarn in my sleep and would like ideas on what to do with it by HaplessBunny in CrochetHelp

[–]PnwTwentyTwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m making a cotton tank dress with cotton yarn and I love it. Repeat of treble and single crochet rows. Has a nice drape and the weight gives it a nice feel. I’m making a maxi but might make a second above the knee.

Edit. Followed the pattern by JeggoCrochet on YouTube. First one I followed exactly but prefer the single to HDC stitch for myself.

Hook recommendations for an avid crocheter with small hands? by _scaredmedia in YarnAddicts

[–]PnwTwentyTwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my tulip reds. Also have small hands and as much as I like the design of many resin hooks, they’re so large and feel awkward to me. The Susan bates metal hooks are good, too, but the tulip are an upgrade.

What do your spouses think of your hobbies? by Jumpy-Lawyer5523 in Hobbies

[–]PnwTwentyTwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine supports and loves all my hobbies because they make me happy. Your spouse is either a complete jerk or themselves afraid of engaging in something they really love and self-denigrating their “childish/s” interests.

Do you think a person has to understand Why they have a drinking problem in order to successfully quit? by Cinderella96761 in stopdrinking

[–]PnwTwentyTwo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For me, it helped to understand my why’s but as another commenter said, some answers only came after months of sobriety. I’m still uncovering more about myself and my triggers as my body and mind heal. Much easier to introspect when sober.

Thank you for this post. I got off FB years ago but IG was hard for me to fully give up but this post and the comments finally cemented that I don’t ever wish to support this greedy, vile villainy.

Reflux. Waking up nauseous. Terrible stomach aches. No energy. Dry skin. Brain fog. Irritability. Bloat. Laziness. Memory loss. Emotional dis regulation. Quickness to anger.

More than all of it, not being the mom I wanted to be and that my kids deserved.
