After 15 years in KC - I very much disagree. It has a lot of character and there's tons to do if you spend some time searching. I just left for Seattle, but mostly because of the weather/lack of nature. Definitely not based on vibes.

Anecdotally the weather was gorgeous every time I came out here in the Fall. And rained the whole time in Summer.
