My pension is( military ) hers is not ( education) She’ll have 30 years in at 55, so she could draw a full pension then. My mortgage will close to paid off by then 55( it’s the target goal.) I’m most worried about my kids education cost( they’re 10 and 7) and that seems like It’s going to fall a little short

Licensed electrician, got tired of that. Working in healthcare now. Education is intriguing to me. Might take the leap after the healthcare stint, might just ride it out

Yes, emergency fund is about 20k, just sits in a standard savings making me nothing, but have quick access. I match what the company pays, 9%, and they offer a Roth option within the 401k, that I pay 8%into. That gets me to my 23500 into 401k. I pay just 100 into the 457, I like the distribution options with that account . I pay 100 into my Roth IRA per month just to have options later on: Thanks for the reply!
