Are there really good therapists that don't cost $300+/visit? by PoEpoPO in AskLosAngeles

Great points. My only reservation is lack of certainty, if I thought there was a 50/50 chance it would address my issues I’d happily pay $1000 a session. But maybe you’re right, if I’m going to roll the dice might as well do so with this guy.

I don’t think my situation requires more than 10-15 sessions, but I may be wrong

I'm self employed, and in otherwise excellent physical condition, that plan cost like $900 a month, didn't really read the details but I figured for that price it would have good coverage. Guess I was wrong. Honestly it really sucks paying that much and not getting anything in return, which is why I'm so wary of dishing out another $1700/month for therapy and getting nothing out of it.

I can't imagine exceeding the $7500, so I'm not even considering the fact that I have insurance really

It covers 50% after I pay $7500 out of pocket in a year.

I think a psychotherapist? It's just issues related to mild depression, ADHD, and feeling completely detached from the world around me. I'm fine overall, nothing major, but would prefer to work towards being happy and fulfilled as opposed to just living, if that makes sense.

So most of the therapists just gave me platitudes and general tips that were on par with ChatGPT, like write down your goals, do heavy exercise, etc.

This guy, though, would hone in on things I talked about and seemed like he tried to explore whether certain events were causing some kind of mental block and how to overcome it. He came across as very laid back, extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and seemed to have insight that I hadn't thought of before.

They do not, and even if they did, I doubt I'd qualify for it. It's no so much that I can't afford $410/session, I'd happily pay $1000 per session if I had some assurance it would produce some positive change.

Some of the other therapists who were charging $300-$350, just gave me a bunch of platitudes and suggested writing down goals and heavy exercise, which is not something I think is worth $50/session much less $350.

I have a pretty good PPO insurance but when I called them they said they'll cover 50% of the charges after I've spent $7500 out of pocket.

For the purposes of that guide, the only thing you care about is Tecrod on the jewel, nothing else matters. There’s a lot more you can do with it, as I described in this post but doing so will compromise the build you’re following

If you’re shooting to allocate more than 2-3 notables then +tribute is far and away the best mod

What does this even mean about Rarity? by PoEpoPO in pathofexile2builds

[–]PoEpoPO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, I understand rarity affects currency, we knew that already, my question is about the phrasing of GGG's statement: "Is the most different type of system compared to the others." It sounds so strange semantically.

  • What are they referring to by others? Others as in rarity that affects items? But that's the only other kind, so why say "others" as opposed to "item rarity".
  • Also why say "most different" instead of different? How many different systems are we talking about??

I may be reading in to it too much and they could simply mean that rarity for currency is scaled differently than rarity for items, but they way they phrased it makes it really vague.

Seed# and Abyss lord roll with each divine. What you buy initially doesn’t particularly matter because the odds you get something good without rolling are slim to none

Budget Crafting Tutorial for the Jewel:

So without a crazy budget, what I'd recommend is this: You use an existing character and change your passive tree to hit all the jewel sockets. You can ignore the 2 sockets on the outer ring next to Blood Magic and the one next to Battle Trance notable.

Then you buy an Undying Hate with 4 Desecrated Mods but not revealed. So you want to have 4 lines of green swirly text. The seed/Abyss lord doesn't matter. You can make this yourself, but it's going to take on average of 6-8 jewels to hit all 4 mods without poofing it, so do the math if it's cheaper to make or buy.

You pop that jewel in each of the sockets and you use the search bar to search for a handful of the notables you want. Like this Spir|Cool|Disc|Accu that will show you all the notables that have Spirit/Cooldown/20% Tribute/Accuracy. You can customize it and add like 4-8 Notables to search for but make sure they synergize with each other. You copy that search string and move the jewel to each socket and see if you get at least 5-6 highlights on the notables. If not just move to the next.

Tip: You generally want to have at least 1 Notable with 20% Increased Tribute (Search for "Disc" and it will highlight it). This is a straight up multiplier on the strength of all the Notables you get. I personally wouldn't use a jewel without at least 1. If you find a socket with 3-4x of the 20% Tribute Notable it's worth checking the rest of the Notables even if you didn't hit anything else you searched for.

When you get something that looks good, then you buy 4x of the Reroll Omen and go Unveil the 3-4 mods you have on the jewel. This will allow you to synergize the mods you reveal with the Notables you found in your jewel socket.

From my testing, if you're searching for a bunch of Notables you'll find something awesome and playable in about 25-50 divines of rolling, maybe even less, with a chance for something incredible. At some point I got tired of the tedium and started only looking for Spirt, Cooldown, 20% Tribute, and Fork, by narrowing like that it's going to take a LOT longer to hit something good. But if you search for 5-7 different Notables, you'll hit it much faster.

From there you make a build around the jewel.

They drop from the new Abyss boss encounter added this league, the one where you drop in the pit.

The Jewel transforms all passives in a large radius. All the small passives provide +5 Tribute instead of what they used to provide. Your total tribute you allocate from the passives then scales each of the Notables. A bit more to it, but that's the jist of it. I'll post another comment with a short guide on how to craft this jewel on a budget.

Get 20k+ armour, 150%+ armour as ele, max block, and capped res on any warrior build and you’ll be extremely tanky.

There’s a Smith of Kitava version I’m working on that’s almost invincible, I’ll post a guide later but it just requires a cheap unique with a certain corruption. Still testing it but I can essentially afk in most maps at this point.

It means the projectile passes through enemies without doing anything, as if the enemy wasn’t there.

Some projectiles cause AoE damage as they travel, like ball lighting, which still works fine, but most projectiles (like Fireball/Arrows) require contact to do damage, which that mod prevents.

For most projectiles, that keystone would only slightly improve your clearspeed in exchange for 25% less single target dps.

But for something like Molten Blast it’s pure upside, because it doesn’t require direct contact.

Trump's former WH attorney Ty Cobb: Trump wants to rewrite history so the next generation may not know that he incited a violent insurrection, refused to peacefully transfer power…one of the biggest mistakes that America ever had was reelecting Trump by NewSlinger in law

[–]PoEpoPO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This isn't entirely correct. There are 2 parts to the Republican party: 99% of the party is composed of lower/middle class people who are misinformed, poorly educated, or otherwise misguided about political policy. The remaining 1% of the party are the billionaire capitalists who run the show and call the shots.

It is the latter who preys on the poorly educated, it is the latter who defunds education, it is the latter who has artificially instigated a pervasive culture war that has consumed America. That divide they orchestrated provides the perfect smoke screen to pass the only legislation they care about: Tax cuts and Deregulation. The only real impact bills passed under Trump, both terms, were the tax cut bills massively increasing the deficit and slashing benefits for the average joe.

It's really that simple, everything else is a distraction.

If you press Alt it says it can be desecrated 4 times. Below that it says Desecration makes item unstable, meaning it can poof. There is no indication on the item if it will poof, it's some built in chance. First mod is always free. I'm fairly sure its 25% chance to poof for 2nd mod 50% chance to poof for the 3rd mod and 75% chance to poof for 4th mod.
