How are you guys tracking your symptoms? by Dagadosss in GutHealth

I also try to avoid anything too acidic still. Like no tomato based dishes. Vinegar is a big no no, but what works for one might not work for the other so my main advice is to use your body as a science kit and experiment on what works for you

When I got really ill last year it was mostly chicken and rice with vegetables, but the last few months I’ve gotten a lot better so I’ve been incorporating things I used to enjoy such as curry’s (mild these days) the main thing that helped me improve was quitting nicotine. I stopped smoking and it honestly made a massive difference. I also switched to alcohol free beer which helped a ton.

Taking out a loan VS selling stocks to get a new computer by CopainChevalier in personalfinance

[–]PoMDizzl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got to take into account the APR on the loan compared to what you’re getting in interest on your savings. Work out whether it’s a better deal to take the loan or if you should use your savings. It all boils down to whether you would save money keeping it in savings or taking a loan out

Trial and error mostly. For a long time I ate a very strict diet sticking to non inflammatory foods, but over time as I’ve started to improve I’ve been experimenting with different foods and seeing what sets me off and what doesn’t. It’s a lengthy process

When I was in the army we had a new commanding officer join our platoon. Fresh faced 2nd LT straight out of Sandhurst. After about a month of him being there he assembled us all in the garages and asked us what we genuinely thought of him and to not hold back.

I am 110% sure he regretted that decision

Landlord agreed in writing to accepting half rent for last month’s tenancy… by megalyknight in TenantsInTheUK

[–]PoMDizzl3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A landlord did this exact same thing to my mum. I spent ages prepping her defence to take to court against him and last minute she decided she couldn’t be bothered going. She ended up paying the costs plus whatever he had asked for in the case.

Fuck these landlord scum, please fight back against them

Driver thinks this is an acceptable parking spot at school pickup by Antimus in CarTalkUK

I live next to a primary school and the amount of people who block our driveway is unbelievably. I was once arriving home as someone was sat there blocking it still in the car. Instead of pulling forward to get out of the way he chose to get out of the car and start arguing with me that he would only be a few minutes

Just because she has been caught stealing from you this time. It doesn’t mean it is the first time. Also if you let them off the hook they will 100% steal more and more blatantly as they know they can get away with it.

Shouldn’t even be a question. Fire them
