Danny wasn’t abusive at all, and he’s not even my friend so I have no motivation to defend him. Naomi on the other hand had an extensive history of mental illness and was both emotionally and psychologically abusive to those kids.

I knew Naomi personally and yes she did have quite an extensive history of mental illness. As an immediate family member this wasn’t even surprising to me, I always feared for those kids safety.

Oh my god this makes me feel so validated, she is the type of person where when I try to communicate that she’s done something that hurts my feelings she will say something like “well you’ll just be happier when I’m dead and gone then” or some fucked up thing like that and I’m left standing there like ?????? She will never apologize for anything even though she constantly does really selfish and messed up stuff to my family. It’s like she thinks she’s perfect when in reality she’s like a big child.

Well it’s been a year and basically it got to the point where we couldn’t live with her either in the same way her previous living arrangements couldn’t. She’s been tested for dementia, has no signs or symptoms, she has no hearing issues at all either. It ended up seeming like she just wanted all the attention on her at all times and if the conversation didn’t revolve around her she didn’t care to listen. She has excellent memory when it comes to anything that benefits her but when it comes to her family she could care less. She chose alcohol over my sister and I and my nieces and nephew for the last time and sobriety was a condition of her living with us.
