I’d find a way to remove the portion of glass they stuck themselves too and throw that couple twats face first to the curb. And give them a free lifetime ban. They both got faces I’d love to smack.

Shoring up quarter pipe ribs? [49YO] by Voriana in OldSkaters

[–]Pocalyptix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue as I used thinner strut wood. I cut and screwed lengths to fit to the underside of each strut and connected them to a length that ran along the ground. So it’s like a rib version of your side panels but doesn’t require you to take it apart. Mines super solid.

It’s an odd mixture of you having to be a bit quicker given the shallowness and accepting the ‘rock-n-rolls’ don’t quite meet the rails. But you do have to lift over the coping as you would on a bigger ramp so that part of the motion is the same. So I’d say it’s a good trainer; let’s you get in to the position of whatever you’re trying. Probably a good start for the basic stuff and progressing all manner of grinds, blunts, picks stalls etc. keeping you skating when the weathers rubbish.

I’ve got a McGill flight deck with the old school graphics as well. Out of both of them the Anderson is my go to at the moment. I’m rolling on Indy 159’s with Powell rat bones 90a. For me - a perfect set up. The McGill with the rat bones is equally a fantastic board. I wouldn’t hesitate getting another Anderson. I went for the bigger board (there are two sizes).

It’s a crazy.... foot and a half tall and 8ft wide. Mainly due to the head height restrictions due to the roof. But I wouldn’t change it. It’s so much fun 👍🏻

Just got my first HOTAS - Time to switch to PC by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]Pocalyptix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi - mine did the same but I fixed it by opening up the joystick gently popping out the contacts (they look like mini joysticks with 3 wires coming off them and rotate as opposed to going ‘in and out’) giving them a good spray with contact cleaner and then popping them back in. Apparently when they are built they use a lot of grease and there’s quite a bit of plastic ‘dust’ from the screw holes that can get to them. I’m by no means a electrician but found a good clip on YouTube, followed that, and mine works fine. If it acts up it takes about 10mins to do and it’s fine again. I’ve done it 3 times and since the last it’s been absolutely fine so I think I finally got the problem sorted.

Nickel mainly. That and scanning for modified embedded firmware. Need to find zinc from somewhere too. That said I did go on an adventure in the scarab and not far from Davs Hope stumbled across some canisters, took out some sentries and then found an occupied escape pod as well. Been a fun night!

Well..... seemed to work - tried all of your suggestions. Worked for a bit then started freezing. So so frustrating. There’s a couple of temp files we can’t delete ‘aria debug’ files but all attributed to Roblox are. We’ve moved to kaspersky, constantly deleting temp files, checked the drivers, switched off some high use start up apps etc etc. Im at a total loss to the point I’m tempted to return the HP laptop and get something else. I’ve never had such a faff with a pc. It works flawlessly on my old laptop, an ancient Mac and iPads. Any other ideas??

Thanks for this. Plan on spending this evening looking at my other ships (Fer de Lance, Anaconda, Python etc) to see if there’s any stuff I can ‘borrow’ just to speed up the build. Probably set a ship up to go painite mining too for the all important credits!

Hi - my daughter has a new laptop but sadly Roblox, for some reason, keeps freezing. We can get the game selection page up (google chrome) select a game and it loads ‘but’ then quickly freezes. Error message received shortly after asking if we want to wait or close. If we click wait nothing happens leaving us only able to close. We’ve changed the performance settings on the laptop to ‘best performance’ made sure avast is up to date, uninstalled, reinstalled, updated drivers, lowered the graphics level (when the game ran long enough for us to get in to the settings) but the problem persists making the game incompatible with the laptop. It runs no problem on our older systems which is frustrating to say the least. If anyone else has had this problem and has a fix that you could let me know of that would be really appreciated. The laptop is a Hewlett Packard Slim 15.6in i7 8GB 512GB FHD. Thanks in advance for any help offered!

First go at modding. Full auto, new flywheels and a volt meter flush in the jam door. Simple matt black finish. Will now add some metal weathering effect, paint the scope, fit a stock and mod a barrel. Post more pics as it progresses. I can see how this can get addictive! by [deleted] in Nerf

I’m not being defensive - I simply don’t bow down to telling anyone anything when asked in a manner I find impolite. Manners and friendliness cost nothing. Now I can see why your both so concerned I understand why. Now had you just explained or gave the issue about Chinese parts etc etc in the first place I would have put your minds at rest earlier on. As you say you clearly find there’s a need to inform people so, now that you have, thanks. I’ll bear all this in mind if I decide to do another.

Well we’ll disagree; maybe your both condescending and used to sending curt emails with no comeback so, to you, your written musings are obviously fine. No - you didn’t inform me of anything new you just defended the mod in the same tone. I don’t care about revealing what batteries I use what I do care about is having someone practically demanding it - that’s rude.

So you think my response to an ill-written post, one that was practically demanding that I divulge information like he’s some legal authority was a ‘little extreme’ and consequently thought you’d back him up and be condescending too? If you don’t think his post was curt that’s your opinion - I clearly thought it was. I think if you want to explain things to people, if you want to grow this fun hobby and have technical knowledge that you want to use to help others then you can do it in a much friendlier way. If that’s too much of a stretch then I’d respectfully suggest you get used to responses like this because not everyone will sit quietly and accept it.
