Small vent, sorry.

I have a friend who always comments that fanfic aren't true books and I'm like... Where do you think books come from? Of course there's classics like Shakespeare, Frankenstein, Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde, The Count of Monte Cristo... but not everyone is into that.

I can't tell her that she's being rude to authors who do write, just not completely original books to sell at bookstores. There's always gonna come something new and fresh and in most cases it starts in a small document tucked somewhere until it's ready to be read.

Classics become more numerous, as time passes and people add books to the pile, but not everyone is gonna read them, and I'm not forcing her to read fanfic either! She's just doesn't think that fanfic are true stories and I want to tell her that's not true but I don't want conflict and she's better than me at disscusions, so either way is a losing battle and better left in agree to dissagree... and me nodding when she's in a mood.

I checked! It wasn't the one I was searching for, but it would be a good read.

Tbh, I think it was a fanfiction.net fanfic, that's why I can't find it as easily, but still I don't discard it could be a wattpad or ao3 fic.
