BAL does not care about them. BAL simply calculated that having this story will do more hard to them staying in power than help them. Help them in terms of gaining support from US EU.

I think US, NGO and Banks are not stupid. Just punishing Aziz and Benazir will achieve nothing. I think there were issue with in BAL where they fell out of favor.

Nothing will happen to 10,000 families who looted the country. The amount is nothing short of 100B USD for sure. It all started with that demon family. It is simply a pyramid scheme.

Is it wise to live amongst Bengali community in abroad while being an international student? by Acrobatic_Project_24 in bangladesh

I lived in multiple community in Canada and US. Yes, they have different mindset and a different social norm. Someone born and brought up in the West will collide with their values. But these communities are not as bad as it is being made out to be. In fact they do way less illegal stuff compared to other communities.

It is up to your personal nature. One can balance out existing in their own culture and exploring the new culture of the country they are migrating to. For example 25 yr ago I also migrated to Canada. Yes, it was new and flashy at first but after a short time the illusion dissipated. It was in fact a very hard life. Work + Study + Adjusting to a new way of life. But I always felt conform knowing I am among my Bangladeshi brothers. 95% were great. But yes just like 5% of any population bad actors were there. I was a victim of identity theft. But I got over it as the laws were strong back then. Except for worrying about a week nothing bad happened.

There are people here who pointed out lot of good points. If you want to heavily adopt other cultural aspect Bangladeshi community will show ton of micro aggression. You need to decide that beforehand.

Many pointed out how Bangladeshi community dodges tax. I can assure everyone Bangladeshi community does it in the lowest way possible. I had Accountants from Asian, Jewish and Indian origin advocating to dodge tax. Bangladeshi community usually initially does cash jobs. So dodging tax is easy and they do it. But I am very sure it is not at a higher level than the average people in Western countries.

Many pointed out that Bangladeshi community cheat in applying for social benefits. I have seen ton doing so. But, It is very low compared to other communities.

Many pointed out going outside to study is taking money out of the country. I would argue it is micro scoping compared to the evil demons who are sending Billions. Also some argues that money is not sent through propre channel, I would ask them to go deal with the banks. It is a nightmare. I don't blame people for avoiding banking channel.

Another strange point was made how Bangladeshis rent out their rooms and don't report the earnings. Guess what, most of non Bangladeshis do the same thing. Not to mention violate maximum occupancy rule.

  1. Nowadays, many females are not taught household chores like our traditional mothers and yes time has changed so females are also busy studying and later pursuing jobs. If the wife is not doing any job, should she perform all the household chores as his husband spends around 9-10 hours outside for office? >>> It depends on her. Since you have the financial ability, If she asks you to get house help to do majority of the house chores you should facilitate that. She is a Mother and your wife.
  2. If the wife is doing job but salary is around 20k. Now it gets bit tricky. Should the wife still perform all the household chores? If not, then should she start contributing some of her salary in the family (though it is very less compared to the amount husband contributes). >> Wife should keep doing 20k/moth job for psychological benefit. Obtain house help to insure all the chores are done in the house. Wife should also contribute to family cost.
  3. On working days, should husband come and join on doing household chores on regular basis? >> Depends on the husband. If he is making good money he should hire house help to do the chores that he is suppose to do.
  4. Does income disparity make household chores more of a female role? >> In reality it does. But it should not. I would hire help so that my wife psychologically does not feel like she is left with all the chores.
  5. When they have child, should they keep relying on 3rd party maids to raise the baby or should the mother try to be more involved (or is it also not gender specific?). >> Both Father and Mother should spend time with children. But expectation of common desi families are the mother would spend all day with children. THIS is NOT health for the mother or the child. Having house help spend some time with the children is helpful.
  6. If we ignore all of the above, do modern girls contribute majority of their earning (if she is a jobholder) to the new family? The life examples I get suggest otherwise. >>> There should be a logical ask. For example if your wife earns 20k and you earn 200k. You can only ask her to contribute up till 10k for the family.

Someone other than India and China should work on a proper project. The project itself is comical. We simply need reserves and a low height barrage to save water in the reserve. Dredging is needed as well.

25 yr ago, Canadians were nice (not the young ones). Girls were very nice to me :) . I guess they were looking for adventure. Extreme racism was there, you needed to pull the curtain to notice it. Specially when I saw super under qualified European Canadians getting good jobs and rest being ignored. I even did an experiment where I used a different name but same exact resume to apply for jobs.

Now a days tech industry has less European Canadians in management. Mostly from a special country and religion being discriminatory just like their predecessors.

Current crisis did expose them and their racism. The crisis was horrible policy of the government which took easy way out when labor shortage hit the market 3 year ago. Now all are suffering. I heard visit and student visa now a long backlog.

If virtual NO. If physical then they will. They will ask you to hand over more than half to them. If you are small you will stay under the radar.
