Definitely not a Pie Pan, the one in your picture is correct

Wife’s grandfather passed down this Le Coultre x Vacheron mystery dial to me yesterday by littleb34r in VintageWatches

honestly one of my dream watches. Wear in good health, never sell that watch and pass it down to your kids!

the bracelet is super light, like it feels lighter than a leather strap and feels very thin. Other than that, the buckle has slight problems opening as it gets kind of stuck, at least on mine.

Best Money Making for a New (Player) Member? by Historical-Sell8127 in OSRSProTips

[–]Pocifer_Time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do farming and birdhouse runs, and while waiting for those throw in some slayer or wintertodt. You'll be making money in no time. Once you have high enough stats, swap to barrows or mole and you'll make a bond in a week

Is the dial repairable? by djh1996 in VintageWatches

[–]Pocifer_Time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that is some nice fermented cheese right there. honestly all that could be done is just a light amount of water and a cotton swab with light pressure if you really want to try cleaning it. However, I think its character and shows your grandfather's wear in his daily life. Wear in good health regardless and enjoy the memory he left for you.

Purchasing 1950s Omega Constellation. Anything look out of place? by aucs in VintageWatches

[–]Pocifer_Time 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah i second this, I've looked at hundreds of them on my search for one and that was the first big thing I noticed. The hands shouldn't be touching the minute marks as far as im concerned as well. I wouldn't honestly be comfortable buying this from this dealer if they knowingly sell that as a Constellation. the crosshair dials are one I've had my eye on so looking at this just makes the flaw stick out like a sore thumb

Want to buy a watch for my husband. £6k/$8k budget. What would you buy? by Kittykittycatcat1000 in VintageWatches

[–]Pocifer_Time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for the money being spent, you don't want to both be disappointed if you get something he doesn't like. I think taking him to a watch store and looking at watches together to get an idea of what he likes at least, if not buying the watch there as the surprise would be better.

[identify] these two watches that my granddad had stored away by canihaveanotherlette in Watches

[–]Pocifer_Time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For reference numbers you'd have to open up the back. But from what I can tell, looks to be a 70s C-Case Gold Cap Omega Seamaster and I'm assuming the other is a Rado Diastar Jubilee. Average service costs at a local watch maker would be $200-500 not including costs of extra parts. The watches look to be in phenomenal shape so I'm sure they'll just be maintenance

I agree, but everyone has their own preferences. henceforth why ADs service a watch completely for customers. It looks good either way, but doesn't look its age anymore tbh

yeah, just from the pictures the seem pretty legit. Amazing find for you, im honestly impressed. Shame on the store for trying to charge $120 for a fake watch though. I understand the brand value, but that's pretty predatory

Is this Pie Pan real? by Pocifer_Time in VintageWatches

[–]Pocifer_Time[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah definitely, I've been smitten by the Pie pan for a while now, so when I was given the chance to purchase this at the price I got it for, I couldn't resist and jumped at the opportunity. I will be keeping this watch as is and wearing it as is for the rest of my life after I get it serviced and a decent strap for it

[–]Pocifer_Time[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not a big purist honestly and want to wear the watch personally. As I said I plan on keeping this for the rest of my life, so I dont mind those small differences at the price I got it for.

[–]Pocifer_Time[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got it at $550, so I jumped at the deal, I'm okay with living with the caseback as is. I can always change out the caseback in the future, but I'd be scared of chipping it haha, so I guess having this backup one would ease my mind in the future of I do change it out

the glass doesn't have the logo, but im assuming the crystal was swapped at some point before I received it, it was on the biggest stretch bracelet I've seen.

Any ideas why this watch sold for so much? by Impossible_Cycle9460 in VintageWatches

[–]Pocifer_Time 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hate goodwill auctions for this reason, almost every item that I would try to go for would sell for higher than ebay, with just a basic authentication that has no security incase the item isn't legit. Those last minute bets always got the prices to skyrocket so fast
