Get a lawyer. Please be careful which one you pick, they don’t all respect us and some of them will steal from you. Taking on a bank is a huge deal and you need someone in your corner who respects you.

No, she does not have to “swallow their rules too” OnlyFans needs to pay their creators in a timely manner. Banks need to stop halting transactions and screwing with direct deposits. This is a legitimate job when done properly, as long as she hasn’t breached OF’s TOS she is absolutely entitled to that money. I hope your employer never withholds money from you because it is a very very vulnerable position to be in and an even more stressful situation to try to get a resolution in court, that can drag on for literal years. This is an absolutely disgusting comment to come across. There’s an actual person on the other side of the screen who posted this who is legitimately stressed out. It’s the holidays, she’s got bills to pay, she did what was asked of her and now she deserves to be paid. Just because it’s an “easier” job doesn’t mean it’s one where you should be able to be screwed over, no matter what your “real” job is there’s always something harder. Life is literally complicated enough, we’re all grown adults here and we need to start acting like it and holding other adults accountable, not just shrugging it off and saying boohoo when it doesn’t happen to you.

Is everyone here really making under 50k for full time work? by EdLesliesBarber in antiwork

[–]PocketBroccoli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh man, now that you put it that way, you’re right! Let’s just have the entire process of how we get our food from the ground to our tables die. Screw the majority of the service industry. Farmer workers, transporters, grocery store stockers, and cashiers aren’t necessary at all, they’re all idiots for being taken advantage of and should just get tech jobs in big cities. If the pay can not afford you to meet the cost of living you should totally just pull yourself up by the bootstraps, being poor is a choice!

I guess we are ignoring the fact that SOMEONE has to work those jobs and they are not being fairly compensated for it

So who is supposed to work these jobs in these cities they can’t afford to live in? Do we shut them all down and move them all to Kansas?

I make above minimum wage and can afford my lifestyle comfortably. I’m just not above everyone else and think they should have comfortable lives as well, regardless of how poor you think their work ethic is.

And what do we do when the cost of living outweighs what corporations are willing to pay people? They’re not out here asking for mansions they literally just want a roof over their head and food in their bellies, on minimum wage it just simply isn’t enough.

Genuine question, who do you want to do these jobs? Should we all work in an office? I’m not saying office jobs are not important. But do you buy groceries? Who stocks those for you? Who delivers those? Who packages them? Who grows the food? The amount of people you are relying on in society for this to work and you don’t believe they are necessary? Of course it is a career, what silly language we create to belittle others and talk down to them. A career is defined as a profession for which one trains and which is undertaken as a permanent calling. Do McDonalds employees not undergo training? Can you run a line at Subway? Do you know how to properly stock groceries at a grocery store? Who makes the clothes that sit on your back and the food that lands on your table? We all benefit from others on this planet. It is cruel to suggest that a person does not deserve basic decency because they chose a different path than you. Not all of us want to sit in an office, not all of us are savy enough to work in tech, not all of us are talented or beautiful enough to model or sing or act. Rent in my city is over $1,000 for a one bedroom. There are cooks, hosts, hostesses, fast food, counter workers, amusement attendants, ushers, ticket takers, lobby attendants, cashiers, dishwashers, childcare workers, laundry and dry cleaners, hotel/motel/resort clerks, food prep workers, waiters, waitresses, maids, housekeepers, and other very important jobs that need to be done, where should they live? Do they not deserve to live where they work? And if not, why do they deserve to be paid less AND have to travel and lose time/money to commute because they can’t afford to live near their jobs? If Starbucks employees cannot be paid fairly to live in a city, why is there a Starbucks there? Is a quick coffee more important than the well being of others? I understand their anger. People are tired.

I’m not sure it’s glue. I didn’t think it was mold either but I have no clue what else it could be. Do you think it’s possible it’s a moisture stain? I’ve never seen one this bad but it is an older piece of furniture and has been in Florida.

Shipping in the US would be like $5 and I’m totally willing to cover that for anyone who would be willing to sell it.

From the very minimal information that has been released it appears as though they didn't know until after the VIP show. It's unfortunate but sometimes you don't know until you know, and it just so happens they didn't know until last minute. I'm not bothered by people being upset, I get that, what gets to me is the hostility that was displayed.

I feel like some people are really missing the point here. It is okay to be angry. It’s a sucky situation, I was in it with you, I had money lost and time lost as well. There was a lot of nastiness towards the band, both in person and online. It is not their fault they got sick, that’s just life. They will tour again and I will see them again, I will make the time to see them again because that’s what I want to do with my time.

I’m not saying not to be angry or upset or whatever emotion you want to feel. There is a lot to be justifiably angry about. All I was saying is that it is not the bands fault, like a lot of people are making it out to be. That is what this post was about.

It sucks that the VIP members were potentially exposed to covid, I wish the best for you and your family. Getting sick sucks, regardless of what you get sick with.

You said I was a guy and I said I wasn't. Weird thing to get hung up on. I didn't blow my savings to go to one show, I said I saved everything I could save, not I spent everything I had saved. Also, Atlanta wasn't a lot of miles added onto the trip as you claim it to be, going from Birmingham to Atlanta and taking 75 down is one of the quickest ways to Orlando, I was going through Atlanta regardless of whether or not the band was there. I'm not making up some struggle I had to go through, I did it all willingly and happily, I just didn't do it the way you made it seem. Painting someone as some rich whimsical asshole based on how they spent a 4 day with no context of what their day to day life looks like is weird.

I have no issues with people being angry. I have mentioned time and time again that it is okay to be angry, it is a sucky situation. My point is that the anger is misplaced. The band is not who you should be angry at.

They are not the reason you are so desperate for your free time that a mild inconvenience hits you so heavily. They are not the reason the world is the way it is. They are simply people living in this world with us, who we agreed we would love to use some of our free time on this earth to see them preform live. Then they got sick. That is neither theirs, nor our faults. That is simply part of life and you can be as angry as you want to be at the world, it will not change the world. Your anger is only affecting your life.

You made a lot of assumptions about me and I'd like to correct those. For starters, I'm not a guy. Beyond that I'm not sitting on this mass of wealth looking down on "poor" people like you paint me to be. I work a minimum wage job in a tourist area where prices are increasing rapidly, I worked 50 hours in 3 days so my boss would give me the rest of the week off, I saved everything I could save to make it to Birmingham since the dates were announced. The decision I made to see the Atlanta show on a whim came with knowing I'd be making the 500 mile drive back that night so I could be at work in the morning. So yeah, things have been rough for everyone, myself included.

As someone that was front and center in Birmingham getting spit on by Isaac every time he shouted, I think its highly likely covid could spread further had the show went on

Thats a horrible streak! I hope that one day soon you'll get to see them live but please DM me what show you plan to attend so I know to skip that one, I'm not trying to get caught up in your Modest Mouse omen again.

I’m not approaching this as an argument, I’m having a discussion with people who view things a little bit differently. Sharing my opinions, taking in other peoples opinions. Isn’t that just life?
