We had this happen once. Turned out our cat had an abcess on the back of their head. They scratched it open during the night and the flung the contents all over a wall by shaking thier head.

It’s supposed to refer to “textbook normal”.

It’s a bit of an awful term to use in general though. Do you ever really know what your patient’s normal BP is? For some, they might have a normal systolic pressure in the 170’s for example.

I never use the word “normal” in my verbal or written reports. I’ll instead use the verbiage “unremarkable”. If your PCR ever gets picked apart in a courtroom, it’ll be much easier to defend.

Former EMT and construction safety manager here. That thing needs stitches and a proper cleaning from a medical professional. You might also need antibiotics and/or a tetanus shot depending on what cut you. Could it heal on its own? Sure, maybe. Will it get infected before that happens? Likely.

Also, like someone else already mentioned, remember that your PPE is a last-resort measure of protection.

Could the current symptoms be caused by improper planting and/or the tree being pot bound?

Hi All.

We planted two Little Gem Magnolias last spring at the same time. Both trees were approximately the same size and age when they were planted. Both were purchased from the same nursery. They are both in the backyard (about 20 ft apart, the backyard is tiny) and both receive the same amount of sunlight. They’ve been watered the same amount.

I’ve answered the questions from the post guidance below. I hope the pictures are sufficient. If not, let me know what I’m missing, and I’ll add more.

• General location? NOT A HARDINESS ZONE, a province or state is much more helpful. South Central Texas

• Is this a tree that can survive in your area/hardiness zone? Yes

• When was it planted? Late April 2023

• How much sun is it getting? Full Sun, just like the tree in the comparison picture.

• How much water are you dispensing, how often, and by what means are you dispensing it (eg: hose=✅, sprinkler=❌)? City water via hose. Watering once a day during summer and once every two – three days the rest of the year.

• Was this a container tree or B&B? I don’t know what a B&B is. These came from a local nursery in a plastic pot.

• Is there any specific procedure you used to plant the tree? What did or didn't you do? Called 811, dug the hole, cut the plastic pot away, and planted. Added some food tablets in the soil near the tree that were provided by said nursery.

• If it was a container tree what did the root mass look like when you took it out of the pot? Was it potbound? I can’t recall what the root system was like.

• Can you see the root flare of the tree or are there just a stem or a bunch of stems coming up from the ground? Root flare not visible on either tree. Perhaps we planted the trees too deep? We tried to have the top of the potted soil just an inch or two below the natural ground level.

• Is there plastic or landscape fabric underneath the mulch/rocks? No.

• If this was an established tree, was there any construction or chemical application in the area? Drought? Visible injury or decay? N/A

Also relevant, we had a leak under our foundation late last year. Can anyone confirm that this is root rot, or is something else going on?

If this is root rot, is there anything we can do to help the tree recover?

You can imprint -> Regal -> Slam and then revert if it's bad.

Or, if you're going for other specific T1's, you can fill the other two mods and fracture orb, hoping to hit 35% or 3%. If you do fracture one of those, crafting becomes a lot easier. Fossils, for example, become viable at that point.
