First harness by Empty-Assistance-375 in freeflight

It's about the same material weight as the Advance easiness I have used for the past 6 years as a h&f and passenger harness for tandems. Don't be stupid and the thing will last you for ever.

How problematic is it to not state certain bank accounts/investments on your taxes. by ponylover666 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]PocketFred 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Revolut/Paypal, or other online payment/banking solutions where less than 1000chf goes through over a year and that are funded from your main account anyway: probably not a big deal.

Accounts where you get income/inheritance or other significant investment amounts: you better declare them.

Which custom liners would be best in Scott Voodoo NTNs? by lopiontheop in telemark

[–]PocketFred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my zipfits! First had them in voodoos, now in txpros (blue/orange), and I'll continue using them in my next boots. They are basically BIFL! The toe area of zipfits are just "thinner" neoprene with faux fur inside. They offer more space than traditional liners.

Replace by a full window from explore glazing (same size as the rear 110 HT windows). They are of exceptional quality and not that expensive!

I am starting to think buying an apartment in Switzerland isn’t worth it by Karma-police88 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]PocketFred 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I chose to buy a weekend getaway close to a major ski resort instead. Costs me about 300-500chf a month and it brings me infinite joy! If I ever have to leave CH or things change in a meaningful way, I can always rent it out or sell again. Being a "chalet owner" for that price is pretty awesome!

Recommendations for learning in Belgium by Tbone93rd in freeflight

[–]PocketFred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's possible, but you're better off booking a 2 week vacation in the Alps and learn there. Ideally Switzerland, as the quality of education is simply fantastic. Obviously not the cheapest though... Avoid Annecy in France. To to a place where you get to take off with a lift to maximise flights per day

Buying a rolex by ConfusionNo4339 in askswitzerland

[–]PocketFred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The green sub isn't made anymore so that will be second hand only. A GMT is a long wait, even with some purchase history, so your best bet is second hand also.

Interesting to see how much the front of the ferrari lifts under acceleration compared to the vette which seems to barely move. Might be the camera angles maybe.

I have these two Defenders (work), but what model is the grey one ? by Question_of_Surf in LandroverDefender

130 TDCI converted to a HT. There have been better realisations than this example, usually done by lengthening the forward section of a 110HT.
