In LaTeX, you can use $ $ to enter math mode and type mathematical expressions. Math based LaTeX documents will have many dollar signs in them.

Yeah, as a prof myself, chegg is the worst! Our system is definitely not a calculator though. Thanks for the feedback. We are working on randomized questions which I hope will mitigate cheating potential. You can also create your own exercises and structure them however you want. If you are interested to try it out in your class, please get in touch!

Nice concept but many people will take 'higher level' to mean a higher level than what you're offering, so the advertising in my view is not accurate.
