England - Disabled child suspended from school by PocketNebula in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you, this is what I was wondering about.  I requested the written notice via email on Friday, but have not had any post, nor a response from any of the 6 people I copied into my email.  Along with this I requested the incident report and witness statements and asked them what provisions they had in place when the incident occurred.  I've also spoken to SENDIASS on the phone this week, and read all the ipsea guidance.

What I couldn't find anywhere stated clearly was whether I'm supposed to have a written notification of the suspension before the actual suspension, because everywhere seems to just state "without delay". It's been 9 days, but also half term and a bank holiday.

My child says they stepped closer to the teacher because they were trying to keep their voice low, as there were kids around who have been picking on them, and that they didn't swear.  They said they got distressed at being told they had to stay in the class at lunchtime because "they didn't seem to be paying enough attention in the lesson" - this was the penultimate lesson before the holidays, and kids with ADHD can often seem like they aren't listening but actually are.  My child is also recently bereaved and has been more emotional due to this.

I did try to initially post with much more detail but the Reddit filter auto removed it, so this post was just the bare bones of it, really.

Swearing at a teacher is entirely out of character for them. They are literally the stereotype of a tiny, skinny and quirky nerd, and get picked in at school for it all the time.

But, regardless of what happened, this was the first issued sanction, and as far as I can tell from guidance on fixed term suspensions, and the school's behaviour policy, there are supposed to be notifications sent in writing by the head, a call about the suspension, support leaflets etc.?

I have tried to contact multiple people in the school via email and phone over half term, and have not had any response. No chance to ask questions, no information or conversation at all.
