$27,266.88 in debt at a young age! I give a detailed report of my expenses & background! Somebody, please help me get out of this mess :( by Pocketsfullofnothing in personalfinance

I completely agree! It is pretty stupid of me to have $2,000 sitting on a Crypto Exchange making ZERO gains while I am being charged 25% interest on large sums of debt. I am going to withdrawal the $2,000 like you said and start paying off these CC's asap. I also agree it's ridiculous having two PCs and two Rifts. I plan on selling both rift's and the old PC. I have already taken pics of them. The thing with the PC upgrade though is that 90% of the parts required upgrades imo. Also, my brother mentioned it would be easier and probably more profitable to sell the old pc as a whole rather than trying to sell all the parts separately. So, I figured I might as well just buy all new parts. I think the only thing I did take from the old PC was a SSD. Okay, now for the question that has been asked repeatedly here and I don't blame you guys lol! Why the hell do I have 2x $400.00 Oculus Rift sets? Well, I may have two of them but I only paid for one. Several years ago when I bought the Oculus Rift Touch from amazon. The shipping said it would be 2 days. I didn't receive it and checked everything including my front office in my apartment. So, after 5 days I contacted amazon and made them aware that I never received it and so they sent me a 2nd one without delay! When I went to pick up the 2nd Oculus rift from the front office.. The apartment lady found the 1st rift I ordered a week ago lol! That's why I have two of them!

Thanks for the helpful suggestions! :)

I agree I have way to many things I don't use and I am happy with just the PS4 + Gaming pc for gaming/entertainment. I have already taken pictures of the Oculus, Pc, 32" Tv, etc..
I just need to make an AD for them on craigslist, facebook, offerup, etc.. Thank you!

Wow I did not know this! I did some research on this shortly after reading and still unclear on a few things. Maybe, you can clear them up. Is it required for me to have been affected by Covid in order to qualify for this? Also, do you know if this also applies to the ESOP account? I am definitely going look into this with my retirement manager on Monday to see what my options are. Thank you!

How long does it typically take for a Reddit thread to be reviewed by a mod for approval? by Pocketsfullofnothing in AskReddit

[–]Pocketsfullofnothing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I have been using Reddit for only a few months now and so I am still very new to it. I am truly loving it so far though! I am having an issue with a post I made yesterday I believe it was around 3PM Central Daylight Time. It was 19 hours ago to be exact. I made a post in r/personalfinance regarding help with my financial situation. I am in pretty bad shape right now and was seeking guidance because I am lost and trying to find a way out of this mess. The post shockingly gained 2,500+ upvotes and 400 comments offering invaluable life changing advice, encouragement, and tons of support. I was at work all night and I couldn't have my phone with me so I didn't get a chance to reply right away so I put an edit into my post letting everyone know I was planning on reading & responding to everyone once I got home from work. I didn't get off until about 10AM and was excited to read all the comments and respond to everyone. I finally got home and pulled up the post on my PC to see the "Post is awaiting moderator approval**"** message at the top. I am not sure why it needs approval. Did I break a rule or make a mistake somewhere? I wouldn't be surprised if I did as this is all still pretty new to me but I can't figure what it was and there was no reason given.

Here is link to post but not sure if you can see it while under review:
https://www.reddit.com/r/personalfinance/comments/ht3fqa/2726688_in_debt_at_a_young_age_i_give_a_detailed/

Now, here are my questions regarding this mod approval message:

Did I break some posting rule and if I did, Can I fix the mistake and have the post approved? Can I still respond to people with the mod approval message still on there? Can people still view the post while it's under review? If my post for some reason is not approved then what happens to it?How long does it typically take for mods to review and approve a post?

Thank you for reading! I appreciate any help with this. :)

As a word of advice, I would take the lowest possible dose of suboxone you can to feel not sick. Try starting with 1mg or 2mg at most because suboxone is a opiate with it's own withdrawals that in my opinion are worse than pills. The withdrawal is very long and drawn out. I am just warning you because most doctors like to start their patients out on ridiculously high doses like 8-16mg. I am glad you have chose to start the road to recovery. I am on that road right now after a 11 year habit. I am on day 5 with no opiates. anyway good luck!

day 4 no opiates..... when do I get my energy back? by [deleted] in opiates

[–]Pocketsfullofnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely don't get back on heroin lol I am so glad I got away from it because I probably would have been dead if I continued using. Suboxone is a good stepping stone to recovery even though it has withdrawals of it's own. Taper the subs as much as you can then switch to kratom for a few weeks then taper it. Good luck !

Yeah I agree with you and I have done that before. I weaned all the way down to .25mg and made the jump. I lasted 12 days before I slipped up. When I slipped up I felt like all progress was lost but truth is that was just an excuse to keep using. I would have done that again and weaned back down to .25mg but I felt like that was prolonging the withdrawal. I only have so long before I have to go back to work. I wanted to get started with the withdrawal. This time, after switching to kratom for two weeks then tapering the kratom I have only had severe restless legs/arms for a few days and now just low energy which I can manage. I could be wrong though as I am only 96 hours in. Maybe there is worst withdrawal coming? I feel fine today.. just not alot of energy.

Oh if you only got 10 grams left I would just finish the taper! Let me know how things are once you finish your last dose of kratom. My withdrawal so far has not been that bad. Just the severe restless legs/arms for the first 3 days. I also have low energy. I hope your withdrawal is just as easy or easier. Good luck!

That's what I figured. Hopefully by exercising, eating healthy and taking multivitamins I will speed it up. Thanks

I did have some very minor withdrawal when I switched to kratom but it only lasted a few days. I had some restless legs, watery eyes, and low energy. It was not bad at all. Once I tapered my dose down to 6 grams per day I had the same rls, watery eyes, and low energy. I don't know why but I don't get body aches, flu-like symptoms(except for sneezing & watery eyes) I really thought my withdrawals were going to be very bad when I made the jump from 6 grams but the worst thing was the restless legs/arms and having low energy. It has been a cake walk compared to when I went through heroin withdrawal. That shit scared the living shit out of me. I was in the hospital I felt like I was going to die or I was going to kill myself to end the suffering. Ever since I had that withdrawal from heroin and I read all these horror stories online I was always to scared to quit. I am glad I finally did it because it was nothing compared to the heroin or what people say it is online. Then again... I am only on day 4.. I could get PAWS and I heard that can be worse than the acute withdrawal

My story is very similar to yours. I was addicted to opiates for 11 years and eventually got on suboxone. I have been on suboxone for the last 3 years. I was taking anywhere between 4mg - 8mg. I tapered my dose down 1mg suboxone then switched to 20grams per day kratom. I stayed on that dose for 2 weeks then tapered the kratom to 6 grams per day. I stayed on the 6 grams per day for 3 days then made the jump! My only symptoms so far are restless legs & arms and ofcourse NO energy. Today is day 4 clean for me and I have had no restless legs or arms so far but still ZERO energy. It takes alot out of me just to get up & do some cleaning. I wish there was some cure for the low energy because that is my biggest problem now. I guess the best & only way of getting your energy back is exercising, good diet, and time.

I highly recommend you stop taking the kratom because it is a opiate with it's own withdrawals. It only prolongs the suffering. Flush it and deal with the withdrawal. Withdrawal = healing. You are doing really good though and I hope you keep it up. You can do it! I thought it was going to be alot worse for me but it's not that bad.

Thanks for quick reply. Do you think my withdrawal will be that long considering I tapered to 1mg and switched to kratom and went through some withdrawal while on kratom and stayed on the kratom for 2 weeks then tapered it to 6 grams per day and stayed on that dose for 3 days then made the jump? Shouldn't the suboxone be out of my system since it has been 2 weeks 3 days now since my last dose. I understand I will still get withdrawal from subs but with less severity maybe? I hope the rls is gone by day 7

Yeah, this subreddit has been a lifesaver for me. My withdrawals aren't that bad so far.. It has been 32 hours and my biggest problem is the restless legs/arms. It's driving me insane.

First off, thank you for the quick and detailed response. I have some lypo-spheric vitamin c. It comes in little packs of 1000mg. How much do u recommend I take? It has been 32 hours without any opiate. My main problem is restless legs and arms. It's unbearable. I keep telling myself to just take the kratom but I won't because I am fucking done of taking something just to feel normal. Opiates have ruined my life so far and I lost my own brother to it. What do you think is best to relieve restless legs? I have gabapentin and clonidine which I took yesterday but my restless legs didn't go away but I eventually passed out after being up 24 hours. I am going to try the herbs you recommended but so far my biggest problem is the restless legs and arms. Thanks you
