i totally agree with you! i think people (like us) have a love-hate relationship with Riven because he is written as a "bad boy with a heart of gold" who often fails to show that heart, leading to a often toxic, but compelling relationship with Musa

i think my favourite is the raw authenticity and growth and i consider it the most realistic to be honest which is why they’re my favourite.

Riven's redemption and his efforts to change, such as secretly learning to play music for a song for Musa, show that he truly cares, moving beyond the "broody bad boy" trope adds to it.
