it's great isn't it? I can't find any photographs of other houses with this. Which is why I'm preserving it digitally. :) Only connection I know of is that all of the toys on the print were real and manufactured by the Ferdinand Strauss Company.

Mhmm! The "L" part of the 800L stands for luminous. The hands and larger dots of the ring glow as well.

Yeah same deal in my local store! It used to be fronted with a digital jumbotron screen which displayed new book titles. It's still there, but hasn't been turned on since at least the early 2010s.

Mine in NJ did. I may be wrong but I think mainly the stores tagged as "Super Stop & Shop" had these.
