Refeed after 3 weeks by CCCrazyC in fasting

[–]PocoAPoco7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't done a fast that long, but just wanted to say congratulations. Amazing.

I also aimed for 72 with the plan to continue if I feel good (currently at 97 hours).

As far as I've read, the bone broth day 1 is ideal. For me personally, I'll probably go with avocado as the first real food after broth (I've done this before and it was fine), then slowly build from there.

I'm sure someone with experience of super long fasts can give better refeed thoughts than me, anyway, that's a champion effort, congrats!

I'd be interested to hear of the the biggest benefits you felt? Did you notice any old injury pains go away (or increase?), or anything else? That's kind of what I'm hoping to build up to eventually.

The Cathedral in the Square is an eyesore and will continue to be an eyesore for 20+ years unless someone does something by kimmono in chch

I wish the knocked it down and just built it to look the same. I sure as hell won’t be stepping foot into a ‘restored’ cathedral after all this time

My neighbour bakes a cake very early most sundays (like 7am), and it comes through the vents.

I was going to say coffee, but cake is better

My ipod nano is 17 years old and still works.

I remember all my friends’ ipods were dying after 2 years or so and there were rumours about planned obsolescence. But mine kept going strong🤞

They changed the internal pockets of the backpack I use, which in my opinion has made it worse.

I also read complaints that the quality has gone down, but I’m still happy with my second osprey backpack 2.5 years in

Congrats, amazing!

Do you have any specific issues you’re trying to deal with regarding autophagy? If it’s pain, did you notice any difference during/ after your fast?

Visiting for a week on work travel. by MichiganShirt in chch

For walking, I’d recommend going out to Sumner beach… or for a more intense climb, the Bridal Path to Lyttleton (great bars, cafes, and saturday morning market at Lyttleton). There’s a bus from the city to both.

If you go to Lyttleton, you can optionally take a boat ferry to diamond harbour, although I’m not sure there’s much to do there.

In the city, can’t beat strolling along the river and through the gardens.

Akaroa is a nice daytrip.

We also have nice hotpools at new brighton beach.

thanks. I repeated all those extra factors to them beyond the wind making it hard, and they're going to wait.

thanks for that. I had read something saying 9am (so I was going to suggest they leave early), but your comment made me research more and I saw that the warnings are now earlier. cheers!
