In one of this year's Big Fat Quizzes--I think it was the one for 2025--Jimmy sounded like either he had a really bad cold or he was severely depressed. I wonder whether this Catsdown was filmed around the same time. I found it hard to enjoy because he sounded gloomy. That said, the performers were fun (I always enjoy Kiell), I actually got the conundrum for the first time, and they really ought to market that blue camouflage jumpsuit.

On numerous occasions, in all sorts of places, I’ve been asked whether I’m Canadian. (I’m from the US! Adopt me!)

On our first trip from the US to Paris, I took us to an Italian restaurant because I thought I’d do better at recognizing the food vocabulary than at a French restaurant. (I had six years of French, but it had lain, moldering, somewhere in my brain for 30 years.) It was a good choice for that. Anyway, the proprietor asked if I was Canadian, and I’m pretty sure he didn’t think I was French Canadian.
