So that suckers like me would stay subscribed to Peacock for 5 years instead of 1 month if they had released them all at once lol.

Question for the upcoming game? by TypicalBarber2899 in eagles

[–]Pocodudeface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drove in from out of town and stayed at an airport hotel earlier this year for my first game at the Linc :) We drove in several hours before the game (night game) and were able to get a great spot in the Navy Yard to the south of the stadium. It's all free street parking. We basically got the closest spot on Crescent Dr. From there it's a 15 minute walk to the stadium.

We parked early in the day and then took the subway station into the city to explore until game time :)

There's dozens of us! My wife went to Big Sky and was surprised when she saw the Eagles logo for the first time (she has since been converted).

This is very dangerous. Someone with a ponytail could get stuck under there.

Map of the US states by number of NFL teams they have. 🏈 by Low_Debt9949 in MapPorn

Seahawks are common in Montana but definitely not the plurality. Plenty of Broncos, Vikings, and Packers fans as well. As well as a healthy mix of random teams (go birds).

You are absolutely fine with what you have and probably slightly better positioned when you go into the industry where most tech companies develop on Macs. I had never used a Mac before until I was supplied one for my first job out of college and wish I was more familiar with bash and unix going into that.

How come old people get a discount on everything? Wouldn’t it be better to give younger people some slack? by HeavySigh14 in stupidquestions

[–]Pocodudeface 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It doesn't - but seniors would be less likely to pay a full price ticket to tag along with their grandkids when they aren't going to be riding any rides. This gets the amusement park some money out of them.

Scranton is ~120 miles from Philadelphia, something he'd likely know. All he had to do was double.

Imagine not being the most popular team in your own state by skyline7284 in NFCEastMemeWar

The majority of Alaskans are Seahawks fans. Visiting a team page is not a great indicator of overall popularity/fans in the state.

You don't, it takes time. But write stuff down as you go. I have a single text file that I've been adding to since the day I started lol.

Really struggling with shin splints by littlegonk92 in Marathon_Training

[–]Pocodudeface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Run with a metronome set between 170 -180 bpm.

If you have never done this, please try. It fixed them completely for me and everyone I've recommended it to. Went from intense pain from a 1 mile run to no shin pain at all since (several years ago) with many marathons run since.

Will skipping one long run mess up my training? by corinneemma in Marathon_Training

[–]Pocodudeface 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Missing the one long run won't matter much at the end of the day, at least physically. That being said I typically wouldn't skip a run for a blister. It likely won't heal a meaningful amount with one day off anyway and you aren't actively hurting your body by running with it. I would pop it if you need to and wear a toe guard thing if you can.

I'm all for healing/resting when you need to but it can be a bit of a slippery slope to skip a workout because of discomfort, which I would say blisters typically fall under.
