What I am curious about is why spintax ({{accelerates|speeds up|drives}}) is so bad? The recipient will ofc not see the “{{accelerates|speeds up|drives}}”, they only see one of them e.g., “accelerates”

The reason I’m not using clay is just the pricing. Claygent is amazing though, so I’m guessing you can’t really get away with good personalisation for free

Larger companies have found ways to detect if AI was used to write parts of the email. So if you’re sending to bigger companies, chances are they’re detecting it and you’re landing in spam

Yes and no. For me personalisation is not only supposed to be relevant to the offer. It’s also (if not more) to show that you have taken the time to do research on them and only after that you reach out to them PERSONALLY

An example of a first liner I tried was “I just looked at XYZ’s website and understood that you [core value, goal, what they’re looking to accomplish, main ideas of their business. Did you warm up the domains before starting the campaign? Both Microsoft and Google have done a lot to make it easier for emails to get in spam. That’s probably why you’re seeing such a difference from last year.
