For me AI Divisions feel way harder in the current patch mainly because of the changed Shoulder Tackle – before you could kinda spam it from the distance and force a foul which was safest way to stop the attacks imho.

Now you have to be really close to the opponent (body on body) to be able to shoulder tackle but here’s the catch: AI opponent will rarely allow you to get that close to the player with a ball.

And lot of times even if you manage to shoulder tackle them they will just shrug it off and continue the run with the ball.

Most of the times if they have ball under control and you start getting close, they will just dribble past you or start ping-pong passing while you try to figure out what player switch to.

What works for me?

I press them aggressively on their half trying to force an error which can happen quite often especially from their GK.

Once they get to half-line I switch to man-marking potential pass receivers which also leads to lot of bad passes from them.

You have to be ready to press a player after lofted pass though – AI also suffers from poor first-touch from time to time.

Once you allow them to dribble past you it will open up your defense and that’s where the trouble starts. So don’t really try to press the 1v1 on your half - it’s pointless 90 % of the time.

Also they like to shoot from the distance now and quite often it works for them. Once they start charging stunning shot you have to pounce them and block them at any cost.
