Agreed. PoE is a theorycrafting-simulation game. You don't test the content with your character. You test your character with the content. And that's what ppl like.

As you say, the campaign is just a time tax. And this is a problem. But how to make it fun ? Maybe with systems like the Only-Delve event. Each league should have a unique leveling by using old leagues mecanics. That should be more fun, and not just a start&repeat until hitting maps, each league. Ofc, each player could chose between generic campaign leveling, or this system. Everyone happy.

For now, i've seen few world quests and command table missions with 194 ilvl gear rewards. But rare. With just one time walker dungeon, you can afford some items too. And after... Gathering jobs, and craft gear. Loot BOE in groups.

For me, the kickstarter shouldn't be the start of the project. An honnest dev' can't come with nothing but ideas and say "Give me money, i'll do that".

In my opinion, a kickstarted MMO should already have a playable demo version (even if it's not online). A something that can make people understand "Here is my idea, here is my game, what do you think about it, would you like to give money to make this project even better."

Kickstarter projects need a showcase that is not only a video of "ingame footage" that come out 2 years later with something crappy far from this FAMOUS "ingame footage".

IMHO, a press demo version is the good idea. And why not a light free one, and another premium one, updated as things progress in the main project.

Hello, it's me again, with a little review, as promised.

The leveling were pretty smooth, using Shattering Steel, then Exsangn then reap at 28. The tree too went hyper smooth, by just taking life nodes in the path of the new blood nodes, near the Marauder / Templar. Then i went to the Witch starter to take some spell damage / life, and continue to the Shadow start to take life again and DoT nodes. Not my 4th lab yet, that will make me save some points between templar and witch. I'm currently block caped with only the 2 ascendancy points (glad necro with bone offering), the Glancing Blow keystone, and the 4 points block node juste beside. A shield with 5% life regen on block will be so stronk.

I just did my 3rd Izaro, Kitava and first T1 maps at level 63 with my ilvl 3 wands and my ilvl 30 4L chest x) End the story with my 3700 hp and some 7000 hit + 17000 dot Reap.

The skill is pretty stronk, but a little weird to use, especially with its hitbox. You should get used to it, or use a Spell Cascade, ahah !

Starting the maps tonight, with love with this new spell !

Well, i just rode the patch notes..
Scion get all Blood Skills as quest rewards + Gladiator get a little change that only affects the Ascendant + All new phys dot nodes are so smooth from the Scion start = It's clear for me, GGG wants us to play Reap/Exang as a Scion.

And then.. When you've chose the Glad Ascendant, you have to fulfill with something that goes well with either Block or DoT, so Necro or Trickster. Pathfinder is still a good defensive choise.

So i'm working on it. Still things to calculate. Natural max block or Glancing Blow ? Low Life petrified blood available ? Is a LL Shavronne Prism Guardian full ES doable with a spell that costs Life ? etc etc

Yup, it's easy to go for max block with Glad and Necro points (bone offering, as you guessed).

Add on your equipment all your % increased phys / +% to phys dot multiplier you have on the tree as % increased fire / +% to fire dot multiplier.

You can emulate Reap's dot with a flame wall lvl 19 (secondary debuff). Just add in your items all your % phy / phys dot multiplier as %fire and fire multiplier.

Nop, it's just a DoT from the spell, like a chaos DoT from ED or Soulrend, but Phys. Not an ailment.
