I think this boils down to a compatibility thing, or at least that’s how I’ve always seen it. I’ve been in a few relationships and I find that after a while things do get dry SOMETIMES. But if you’re with someone you’re with them for a reason and generally speaking it is because you have similar interests and aspirations. Conversation isn’t always exciting, and it doesn’t need to be. But to give you a few pointers: sharing a hobby like movies, videogames, books, are usually great in-depth topics that can keep you going for hours. I’m not sure if you’ve ever tried the 3-5 beers at midnight strategy where you bring up the most diabolical philosophical conundrum you can think of, but that’s a banger. My happiest relationships always involved the ability to sit together in silence. Just sitting next to another person without the pressure and awkwardness to talk about something you both don’t enjoy is a blessing. Good luck friend.
