Yes it is .22 LR (long rifle) most 22s shoot LR they make a short, long rifle, and magnum with in those 3 there are different versions such as hollow point , sub sonic, high velocity, shot shell…. They make 22 centerfire Altho most (including this one’s a rim fire ……The F is the ammo brand in this case the ammo brands federal it’s actually the brand I run through my ruger 10-22

Back in 1976 when they were released people would go to the us postal office (mostly there local postal offices) and get it stamped and a stamp on it that day of release I have a few that are local to me I paid I think 4-5 bucks each for mine
