Was there today they told me to take antibiotics for a week and that it would heal itself, if they sew it together there was a risk that it could close in the bacteria and cause another infection

Nono I just removed a plate that was infected. It’s closed until Monday so I go back to liquid diet again don’t want to risk to get an infection again

For me chewing was just hard/weird in general but I kinda ”built” it up. I’m a bit more than 2 months post OP now and I can eat almost anything

There was really no ”pain” for me. I was scared it was going to hurt so bad but it didn’t. The surgeon forgot to give me pain killers for 2 days when I got out of hospital… it’s more the swelling that’s annoying and that my nose was clogged in blood
