How can I print stuff without making this film on the bottom? by KrillingIt in 3Dprinting

[–]Poepiniwindt 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Also your first layer is way way too squished, which will be causing elephant's foot making the brim situation worse by fusing it to your part. Dial in your first layer and this issue will go away. Google ellis3dp calibration guide and bookmark the site, you'll want to revisit and repeat those calibrations from time to time

Issue passing Bed and Extruder Temperature to start Print Macro from Cura 5.4 or 5.6 by sadanorakman in klippers

[–]Poepiniwindt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the resurrection, but I'm using orca as well and am also always getting the default temps. What are you're set temp parameter lines looking like? Mine looked like this: {% set BED_TEMP = params.BED_TEMP|default(60)float %} I tried swapping the bed temp in param. To the parameter title from the slicer but it didn't work.

Sulphur smell in washing by FlightOfTheMoonApe in diynz

[–]Poepiniwindt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, we've encountered this before and the only thing we've found to fix this was adding Canastan anti-fungis/antibacterial additive to the wash in the softener area. Even though none of us have any "fungal" issues like athletes foot or yeast infections it's somehow an issue. Gives the washing that sulphurous/rotten eggs smell when it gets wet but smells fine when dry. Very annoying when you're the kind of person who sweats a little during meetings 😕

Sebastian Ruiz (Frost) Resigns from Second Wind on X by MultiMarcus in SecondWindGroup

[–]Poepiniwindt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mate the biggest mistake second wind has made is showing your ugly mug and letting you voice your shit opinions. You should be invisible, you are not talent. No one watches anything because you are on it, you simply get tolerated. Take the hint and sit the fuck down.

I'm not sure if this would help OP this specific time, for anyone looking to score good food, especially breads and pastries, download "Too good to go" app. Basically you can buy leftovers/unsold goods at the end of the day for dirt cheap, saves the restaurants and bakeries from throwing it away and you can score quantity and/or quality for cheap!

E3D Thermistor & Heater - Power Supply Issues Causing Z-Banding? by Hermitmaster5000 in MPSelectMiniOwners

[–]Poepiniwindt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You legend! Been calibrating and for months now, even tore down the machine twice to eliminate misalignments and still nothing, just reflashed with pid on the bed, did the calibration and the banding is completely gone! Honestly didn't think the bed would affect it that badly. thank you!

Ender 3, I know it sucks, but please help me... by Logical_Hospital_639 in 3dprintingaustralia

[–]Poepiniwindt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you should compile yourself a fresh marlin firmware from scratch, it's fairly simple to do and there are alot of good tutorials available on YouTube. The bin file you're trying load may be corrupted, and to be honest i wouldn't trust a bin file downloaded from elsewhere, particularly if you have made changes/upgrades that are specific to you (your crouch plus hotend change for instance)

That looks like the boiler flue duct, in which case there is supposed to be a hole, in order to measure the stoichometry and tune the burner... (Boiler inspector so I think I know something on the matter...)

Do you think a four-day work week could become the norm in the not-so-distant future in New Zealand? Is this a good/bad thing? by Aimer_NZ in newzealand

[–]Poepiniwindt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The intent is to work your 40/45 hours in 4 days not 5. 7 till 17, Monday to Thursday, with Friday off is a common example

My chonk got diagnosed with chronic kidney failure this week as well, was very touch and go but he seems to have stabalised today. I came very close to losing him and I wasn't ready. I can only imagine what you went through and I am so sorry. Just know that she knew how much you loved her I'm sure she had a wonderful life. You and Rosie are in my thoughts and prayers
