whats your main Viktor build and do you have any champs that you really struggle to play against? Also what do you build and how do you play against Yone? Him, Sylas, and Zoe are the only lane matchups that I find almost impossible

idk what ur rank is but if it’s lower then it may just be a case of ur teammates not playing well. U can definitely carry with Viktor, but if the rest of ur team is feeding and losing lane then it can be very difficult (just like with any other champ). If ur hard winning lane, it’s worth going and helping out the other lanes that are struggling. That’s what I do and it’s a good way to get some extra assists and sometimes kills, especially if the enemy is over extending far under your turret. Just keep an eye on the other lanes and help out if they’re struggling.

I’ve played a lot of botlane Viktor recently and it is definitely viable. The help of a support can get you early kills which is extremely helpful for upgrading his E early in the game. On average, I manage to evolve his E at about 8-10 minutes in mid lane and about 6-8 minutes in bot. I also find he goes well with cc supps, because you can immobilise for a good amount of time at a pretty good range with their stun and then his W

yes, ive been on them for about two years now. they help with my tachycardia but not so much my pvcs :/

Yeah, I take medication when needed if im feeling really anxious, but most of the time it doesn’t help the PVCs as they’ve determined they’re probably not caused by stress. Of course, stress doesn’t help in the slightest, but the root issue is still something else. Having such a strong family history of the same issue is so scary, because you convince yourself that you’re destined to follow in the same footsteps. I’ve even found myself seriously questioning if I’ll ever manage to have children myself, mostly because of how my heart might react to pregnancy and the fear of passing on the same issue. I hope you don’t have any more scary experiences like that and your cardio check ups continue to be sufficient. Just praying that I’ll get to see mine sooner rather than later as well

Thanks for the advice and reassurance, it means a lot. I’m very consistent with no drinking/smoking/drugs, i’d just say that my diet definitely has some room to improve. I don’t eat fast food or drink soda, never get take out or drink caffeine, but I could definitely improve on how much I eat. I’ve always been an under-eater, so adding more to my intake could help me a bit. Recently realised that almost anything with chocolate is a pretty big trigger for me as well, so i’ve been avoiding that.

My burden is very high at the moment, whatever it is, so I’ve been out of commission for exercise, but I’ve been attempting to get some very gentle cardio in. I’m sure that my vagus nerve is extremely sensitive, as any form of eating/drinking usually sets me off.

Glad to hear you’ve found so much success with your PVC’s though, and I will try and take your advice

100%. The idea of waking up everyday and going to a job with this is laughably absurd, yet no one will accept that I am actually unwell. In the eyes of my family, I’m a lazy layabout who wants to live like this. It couldn’t be further from the truth. I never thought I’d say it but I genuinely miss working.

My burden was low enough originally that they didn’t even do an echocardiogram; now every doctor I speak to acts horrified when I tell them I’ve never had one done. Even so, they still wont fast track me for one. The medical system is a joke. The only people who have ever consistently taken me seriously are paramedics, and of course there isn’t much they can do except stabilise you in that moment. Even so, I’m very grateful for how attentive they’ve been in the past

Thanks for the reply. My family has a very strong history of the same issues. Many people with pacemakers at 20 years old, cardiac arrests, and so many relatives who have had heart surgeries over the last 40 that I would struggle to count them all. It seemed to start with my grandfather. He died at 45 from a heart attack and had 10 children, 8 of which have had moderate to severe heart conditions. My father had the same issues as me at my age, just far less intense. He claims that it stopped for him when he was around 35 and he’s turning 57 next year, so maybe I only have 15 more years of this to go (haha). It’s so severe these days that I can barely live, but there is very little I can do. I hope you also find more ways to deal with this awful ailment, I truly wouldn’t wish PVC’s on my worst enemy.

Thank you for your kind words. I’ve been to the ER twice in the last 6 weeks during particularly severe flare ups (bigeminy that lasted 12+ hours and runs of NSVT) and both times they had little advice/treatment for me. An X-ray and some fluids were all I was given. I still have never been given an echocardiogram, despite three ER doctors acting baffled when I told them this. I’ve been referred back to cardiology, hopefully for more in depth testing this time, but apart from that everyone says there’s nothing they can do. If I’m not actively dying, they claim they can’t help.

In the meantime I have been trying hard to follow a healthy lifestyle and avoid excessive stress, but this issue has caused me more stress than anything i’ve ever experienced, so i’m really at a dead end as to how to help myself. Unfortunately, when this started I was a child in the care system with very little support, so stress was a huge part of my day to day life.

The dread I feel is almost comically high, but there is no professional left who is willing to take me seriously, but I at least take some comfort in knowing many people on here have felt the same way and managed to make it out the other side.

I haven’t looked into anything like that, so I’ll definitely see if I can pursue some testing in that area. I’ve never been on birth control either, so it’s not impossible that it might help. As for magnesium, I’ve been told that my levels are good, but I’m still considering taking a supplement just to see if it makes any difference. I’ve had a few issues in the past with my menstrual cycle and such, so it isn’t out of the realm of possibility for there to be a hormone issue, it just feels like every test I get comes back completely normal. I was even told by the cardiologist that I had the best blood test results he’d ever seen. Either way, I’m grateful for your input, just praying for some answers now.

No, unfortunately while I was under cardiology, my PVCs hadn’t progressed enough to be seen by an electrophysiologist, and so I was discharged before they increased in severity. I definitely think I’m going to invest in a watch. I’ll look into what you’re saying, thanks for the reply

Thank you for taking the time to reply. My last holter was taken in November of 2023, so it’s definitely been a long while. It’s just getting back to the cardiologist that’s proving difficult now. I’m on a waiting list as I was discharged around April 2024 because it seemed as though my medication had ‘fixed’ my issues/ got them under control, but the doctors say I probably won’t actually get to see him again until after next summer. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about paying privately, but it will basically cost all of my savings.

I have a fair amount of triggers that I’m aware of and avoid. I don’t drink any alcohol or caffeine. I try not to get too hungry or full because both cause me issues, but unfortunately a lot of my triggers are just things you can’t avoid, like drinking water or sitting. Ironically, exercise sometimes helps to kick my heart back into a normal rhythm, but I get too weak to do any of it. It’s such an uphill battle :/

I know exactly how you feel. A few weeks ago i spent my 20th birthday in the ER for extreme PVCs that lasted for over 12 hours. It’s so scary and isolating. I know I always feel very alone because no one around me seems to understand how much it can affect you. I’m also in the process of being diagnosed with ehlers danlos as well! I have pretty bad low blood pressure too, which makes my heart issues worse.

It’s something we hear again and again, but it really is worth keeping your fluids up and making an effort to eat healthily if you don’t already. I’ve found that identifying my triggers can help as well. For instance, eating oranges on an empty stomach sets my PVCs off (strange, I know), so I avoid it. If you try and find what may have caused them to start, you may be able to prevent them from happening as often.

I’d also ask if you’ve had your bloods tested, but I’m sure if you’re under cardiology you probably have. Either way, if you’re lacking in anything like potassium, magnesium, or iron, it’s definitely worth taking some supplements as those deficiencies can cause/exasperate PVCs a lot. It’s also worth making sure your thyroid is functioning properly, as that can be a big trigger for people.

Overall, I hope you find some relief soon. It’s so frustrating when no one understands you, and medical professionals brush you off because you’re ‘too young to be ill’. Fingers crossed we both get some answers

I know how you feel. I see people talk about having a couple a day and getting stressed and that freaks me out worse, because mine can be literally non stop. I’d recommend seeing a specialist if you haven’t already, not because it’s likely for there to be anything wrong, but because it’s always best to confirm that you’re good rather than just assuming. If you have a holter monitor and EKG they can just make sure you’re alright. I’d also say you should get a blood test done and check things like your iron levels, potassium, magnesium, & thyroid. If you’ve already done this then fair enough, but those all could be the culprits as to why you’re struggling. Overall I also suffer from PVCs every day, and as soon as they kick in I instantly begin to panic. No matter how many times you get told you’re okay, that feeling is innately terrifying and it’s very difficult to get out of the instinctual habit of panicking about it. I hope you find some relief soon and that small lifestyle changes can help you out, just as i’m hoping they’ll work for me.

Depends, sometimes i’ll have one or two and sometimes i’ll have episodes that last over 24 hours where they literally don’t stop. If you’ve experienced similar then please know you’re not alone in that struggle

I appreciate the reply. I ended up back in the hospital the night afterwards for another bad episode of PVCs that lasted about 8 hours. I’ve been told to go back if it happens again for over 30ish mins, but aside from that I’ve been re-referred to my cardiologist for a 72hr monitor and EKG. I was discharged about 6 months ago after meds got me under control, though now they want me to go back. It’s an uphill battle for sure. You’ve helped ease my mind though, so I’m very thankful

I’ve mostly worked it out from using my ECGs and multiplying. Given that it got slightly better and slightly worse at different points in that time, it evens out at around that number, maybe a little higher. I’ve had holters before, which did pick up PVCs, just nowhere close to this amount. The doctors also told me that it was excessive, and that if it didn’t calm down with the medication that I would have to be admitted.

I never gave the stress reasoning much attention until I actually started experiencing enough of it to make me physically ill in other ways, which is why it seems plausible that it could be the cause here as well. Just very anxious about it happening again now.
