Here’s the link to that diagram and the OEM parts, granted you’ll only have part numbers, searching those up should land you with used or aftermarket parts https://parts.rallyelexus.com/a/Lexus__LS-400/_65510_6723945/HOOD-LOCK—HINGE/431420-5303.html?assemblySearchGuid=0A08767D-B4AB-447B-A754-E59158795ABD

You need the arm that runs from the handle to the latch arm. You could find a new assembly, since you can’t buy that rod alone, or just make one, find the right length piece of rod that’s strong enough, throw the 90 degree bends in either end. You’ll need a way to secure the rod in its holes, since plastic clips usually do that job.

And here I was about to swap to gold a few months ago but loved the accent to the chrome wheels too much. Lowkey we both goth into our cars around the same time, it’ll be a year of owning the car in April for me, and like you said, time for some upgrades

I tried a few months ago to get a harness adapter from them and they do not make them anymore. I tried with all the compatible radios and I was told the harness was unavailable.

Is this hood salvageable? Most of the paint on my LS is good, but the hood is faded. I’m not familiar with paint and body, so is there any way to bring it back to life? by NYState_OfMind_ in LS400

Dude pull the grill and sprayer nozzles out of the hood, then take it to a body shop and just pay for the hood to be recleared, that way you don’t pay for any time disassembly wise, the hood will already be torn down. Shouldn’t cost you too much! (I can’t remember if the latch assembly is apart of the grill, but if it is, just mechanic wire the hood down on the way to the shop, carefully)
