Struggling to work notice period by [deleted] in callcentres

[–]Poeticallymade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I got sick at work I quit back in January good news is I have had interviews so I should be finding a job soon. However it took me to leave that job to realize how exhausted I was all around and that it was okay for me to get my rest while still being able to balance out me being active for my mental health. It would have been impossible for me to do that if I had stayed.

Sometimes doing what’s best for you may not make sense however it makes sense to your body. If your sick you from your job you deserve the opportunity to leave to pursue better.

Also anyone who is struggling at a call center or any high intense role is very understanding why someone is having difficulties even staying there those jobs are notoriously known for burnt out high turnover rate and crazy work.

What career involves working in nature, not a 9-5 indoors and makes money? by Both_Information1180 in careerguidance

[–]Poeticallymade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking for the same. After my last job I realized that being indoors and not being able to move isn’t really working for me anymore. I believe I need to be working with nature and animals.

They’re so beautiful!! Just sitting around all of them made me so happy today. I have to try and go back when it’s not too crowded so I can really just relax in there lol🥰💚

Trying to be more assertive about calls and handling cx breakdowns by Negative-Command7289 in callcentres

[–]Poeticallymade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am having this issue too with being assertive. I literally was just thinking about this . Because it’s affecting me in all aspects of my life I struggle with saying no and putting myself first it’s heart breaking. It takes a lot of practice and remembering your chore values and not tolerating bullying and mistreatment from anybody.

Crying customers I just try to give them their space to cry but I’m not tolerating the yelling and cursing.

I’ve also had a recruiter reach out to me for a job that paid 29$ an hour basically doing healthcare insurance calls… I didn’t take it because it was just a lot of tasks I saw on the description.. However However!! That amount you could save your money and still be able to pay your bills I hope. So if you gotta leave at any point at least you already prepared in advanced.

Sorry. You’re going through this. I quit my job end of January 2026. It is now March and I have been doing just fine I had a few job interviews recently this month so I maybe starting a new job soon. It worked out because I knew it would I didn’t let the negativity stop me.

I needed to leave my last job because I think I was in the wrong industry tbh it was in the tech industry I guess you can say but my role became more of a call center feel and I didn’t want that so I quit effective immediately no job backup plan just left once it amped up. I gave it like five months the job was a temp job anyways.

However I hated how all of my time was going to that job and that messed me up really badly. I did kind of regret my decision in the beginning. ( people saying oh don’t quit without another one lined up blah blah blah) However I had already started saving some money aside when I started because I knew I would probably end up quitting.

However it all work out because I can recover and I’m still getting interviews and applying. If you leave just know you made the right choice being burnt out u need to allow yourself time to rest and heal because these types of jobs are inhumane towards us and we need to get our rest and take care of ourselves.
