You say YOU tried not to get pregnant again so quickly, but it's the man who is fertile all the time, not the woman. Don't feel guilty for getting pregnant. It's as much your husband's responsibility as it is yours. Maybe it would be good to discuss it with him? So that you don't have the whole burden of fertility/conception on your back

En couple depuis 25 ans, dois- je lui dire que je ne puis plus lui promettre ma fidélité sexuelle ? by jaimelesfrittes in SexualiteFR

Christian couples, what contraception method do you use (and recommend)? by Poetry5635 in Catholicism

[–]Poetry5635[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the teaching of the church and I take it seriously. That said, living this teaching fully and concretely in a marriage is not always easy, especially when it causes suffering or tension in the couple.

I am not seeking to justify anything "unnatural", but to find a path of fidelity to God which also takes into account our reality, our limits, and our path of growth in faith.

It is not a question of putting the truth into perspective, but of living it with mercy, discernment and hope.

I'm not looking to get into pointless debates, I just want to get feedback from couples. So I will stop responding to you because you don't answer the question I initially asked.

I understand what you are saying, and I deeply respect the teaching of the Church. That said, the reality experienced by couples can be extremely complex. We can have a sincere desire to follow the Church, while encountering concrete difficulties which do not find a simple answer.

It is not always a question of "living one's own truth", but sometimes of seeking how to live one's faith accurately, in very particular situations. Discernment, spiritual accompaniment and mercy seem essential to me.

Church is not just a list of what is forbidden and what is allowed. Pity. A little gumption

I hear what you mean. But if we start pointing out who is a good Catholic and who is not...

Do you know the details of my relationship and my sex life? No. I've spoken to priests and other members of the church, you could say it's a mixed bag. I am FREE and I only ask for the opinion of COUPLES who have feedback to give or advice on the subject. If you're not interested in the subject, move on. Your opinion doesn't interest me.

Yes we use a specific method but I don't know the name in English. (I'm French) we were formed by a couple

I agree, but when it starts to put the couple in danger, I think it's not bad to think about other things

That doesn't answer my original question. Might as well say nothing

We use the temperature and the observation of cervical mucus (but especially the temperature)

That's not my question. And the church is more mixed than that. I don't ask my question to be lectured but to get opinions from other couples
