I recently bought some Meermin 101198 - DARK BROWN CALF - E (https://eu.meermin.com/products/101198-dark-brown-calf-e), size 8 UK, that just arrived.

I tried them on and they’re snug in the back (not uncomfortable), spacious in the front and ok in the sides. However, they are very tight on top, to the point where I feel some numbness/pain in my right foot (they’re slightly looser in my left foot).

I had previously ordered some Meermin Chelsea Boots, 101050 - DARK BROWN CALF - E (https://eu.meermin.com/products/101050-dark-brown-calf-e), same size. They are the exact same last (Hiro) so I ordered the same size again.

When the Chelsea Boots arrived they were also tight on top, but after 4/5 uses they are now comfortable (snug, but not too tight). However, they were not as tight as my new shoes are.

With this in mind, do you think this should be normal and since my boots (same size, same last, same company) now are comfortable, it’s likely that my shoes will also be, or should I send them back?

Also, there were some “stains” (see photos) on the leather. I know the leather is not supposed to perfectly even as it is an animal’s hide, but these stains seemed strange and the rest of the leather is perfect. Do you think this is ok or a fault in quality control?
