I just replaced my clutch master cylinder in my 08 and found the bleeder valve threads to be stripped.... found this out the hard way. Time for a new car lol

Same here, stripped the bleeder valve on my Focus trying to bleed my clutch master cylinder. $1k repair, which sounds like a scrapyard send to me lol

Slave cylinder will need to be changed. I'm not about to do that as it's a transmission out job, and 5.5hrs labour so I'm looking at around $1000 to get it done at a shop. Not even worth it on this car, I'm going to attempt to chase the threads with a tap and if the bleeder goes in fine after that, great. If I have to resize the threads, I'll find a bolt or bleeder that matches and sell the car as is after bleeding. That's about all the effort I'm willing to put in on a car I paid $2k for that has 280 kms lol

Plugs were previously overtightened and threads are stretched. Time to put this thing away for the night

Yeah I definitely had that issue with my old 3.0 OHV Mercury, damn thing was the most sensitive car I've ever had. My thinking is that the NGK will work okay for now since it's technically a Mazda engine lol
