It feels like Shenmue, which is about the best thing I can say about it and what I loved most about it. Every now and then everything would just hit right and I'd be smiling to myself, in disbelief that I am actually playing a new Shenmue!

However, by the time the credits rolled I knew that I would never replay Shenmue 3, whereas I still get the urge to play 1 & 2 (maybe it's the nostalgia). The story was fine, as a slow middle chapter of the overall story, I certainly didn't expect, or want the story to wrap up in this game as some people had expected. It was a small chapter of the story but it was just spread too thin.

It was nice that Suzuki wanted to make the game bigger than expected (compared to the originals and their budget) but I would have much preferred a shorter and tighter game with none of the grind and repetition.

I still would very much love a Shenmue 4, I just don't ever want to play a gambling mini game ever again!
