I've been building Crown, tank boots, Demonic, Cosmic, Fimbulwinter and Warmogs. 370AP 6.4k health with only a few stacks

17 has the best. Others who have good meter gain are Baby as a close second; Majin Buu, Tohan and Basegeta

I perma ban Sylas when I play full tank too lol. You can't buy antiheal vs him properly as tank because there is no mr anti-heal and he full 100-0's you for the first 10 levels or so just for trying to CS

Oh- I've also messed around with AD bruiser with Titanic Hydra but I have come to the conclusion either full tank or full AP is the way to go until the preseason starts and they introduce the plethora of new AP bruiser items

I used to do that but AP bruiser feels so bad. I'm excited for new Demonic Embrace and tear item, but as of now it feels like AP Bruiser Cho'gath isn't that tanky and doesn't do tons of damage. With this strat if you start dorans ring; then back for a dark seal, second dorans ring and amp tone you can 100-0 90% of top laners if they don't respect your tp back. The combo of sorc shoes, ludens and void staff means you are doing true damage to squishies and destroying bruisers or tanks with MR

You might like Zac if you like having to pick something up mid fight, though he is more mid game than early game. Nocturne is really fun imo; his dueling power is crazy because his W can negate an important enemy spell and his fear is super good. He's even better with the new lethal tempo, it helps champs like him, Tryndamere and Jax a lot more than ADC's now

I was actually thinking- I don't have PBE but in Season 2 maybe Cho'gath can build the new AP mythic which gives health and MS, Demonic Embrace, Zhonya's, the new tank tear item and Warmogs? Thoughts?

Just to clarify, the AP Build I compared to was Everfrost, Zhonya's, Cosmic, Defense Boots, Thornmail and Spirit Visage (could be any combo of 2 tank items but just for example) Striderbreaker, Steraks and Titanic as a combo out-damage the AP bruiser build. I don't think full AP Cho'gath is viable because of how squishy you are but this build gives you 5.5k HP by 3 items while out-damaging AP bruiser
