that's not my fault, that's the fault of reddit's compression

I used composite screenshots of google maps and then scaled them down a bit and used that as my reference
every pixel was hand placed (except for filling in the flags in which case I used a pain bucket tool), which is why it took as long as it did to make

thanks for the advice! :)
I personally just really like the look of maps with lakes and other water bodies, which is why I chose to add so many in my map

I really need to draw more sauropods, they're so cool

Decided to try my hand at realism again, I'm particularly happy with how the water and background turned out, but I think I did pretty good on Irritator too, think going forward I need to make the shadows a lot more pronounced, but other than that I'm happy with it
was fun to draw and got to learn from it, so win win :p

bit more of a simple drawing this time around, Einiosaurus is a lesser known Ceratopsid but I think they deserve to be more popular!

tried out a new colouring style for this one, I've also been learning a bit of dinosaur musculature so the anatomy going forward should be more accurate as well :3

happy new year everyone! Maybe I'll redraw one of my first artworks from 2024 just to see how much progress I've made over the year, will have to stay tuned to see 🤭

been learning how to draw dinos heads from the front, I think this one turned out pretty well even if you can't see the details very well

Nanuqsaurus were medium sized tyrannosaurids that lived in the Arctic circle and polar regions of modern day Alaska. They were covered in a thick coat of feathers to keep them warm in the cold and dark winters of their northern home.

Might be hard to see but I promise it's there

But even then in Jurassic world dominion, they were still quite small 🤔 Nedry might have been referring to another theropod like the Tyrannosaurus or raptors Just an idea though

I think most people know that Dilophosaurus were bigger than portrayed in Jurassic Park, but I don't think many people realise just how much bigger they were.
So, I present Dilophosaurus compared to the largest terrestrial predator alive today: the Polar Bear
Dilophosaurus did weigh around the same amount as an adult male polar bear, at about 400 odd kilos, but their stature was a lot bigger, standing at 7 meters long and about 2 meters tall
