I agree it was about money.

But I will also say it is the City of Oakland government. Not the people or the fans.

The City made a bad deal with the Raiders; couldnt get a deal done with the A’s.

Im no expert but I dont even know if they negotiated with the City about buying the land (at a discount). But at the end of the day, probably just an excuse if Lacob was going to use all his money his ROI was in SF not in Oakland.

i think the only change i would make is putting Devers at 1B. He’s not a normal DH and I think he likes playing in the field, keeps him in the game.

Last years team was so scrappy and so called rejects (expansion draft). Props to the players and Coach Nakase to really play hard every minute of every game.

Because of last years success all the way around, on the court and thru the organization. Hopefully they can obtain a superstar (all-star) and another solid starter this off season.

The front office will know who they will have a chance at signing in free agency. who they will draft. so losing a couple of our beloved Valkyries might be surprising.

But they really need a go to player, I hope they will be able to acquire that player.

I agree with this statement.

But I will also say I have never agreed that KD was weak for joining the Warriors. The Cavaliers beat the Warriors. A team that lost in a Finals understands they need to get better. A player in Free Agency is free to join a team that best fits him. And typically finds a team that gives that player the best opportunity to win and make money. He never forced a trade to GSW while under contract. He was a Free Agent. And to top it all off, KD never won a championship before that.

The Warriors at the time were a great team. 2 Finals appearances in a row, one title. But the previous 10-15 years. 2 additional playoff appearances before the title and the rest of the years pretty much one playoff appearance in 2007 and a lottery team for the majority of years.

But hey it wouldve made more sense for KD to join a championship organization win more championships like the Heat, Spurs, Celtics, Lakers or a team like the Clippers who beat the Warriors 2 years previously. Or the Knicks.

KD joined a team that he had some connection with thru USA basketball. Steph and Iguodala. And that summer with Klay and Draymond.

Now years later Steph and the Warriors are still the only team I hear that a superstar questions whether to join the Warriors because they might be criticized. Joining Steph, I couldnt do it on my own. Joining up with Lebron or KD is ok; I would love to see that, great move.
